2006 Velocity Yellow Z06 in NC (Heads fixed)
Sold sold sold, mods please lock/delete.
Price lowered to $27,500! Really been enjoying it lately, but I figured I'd let some other people have a shot at it. AC is ice cold in this horrible NC heat!

Hello everyone, I've been toying with the idea of putting my 2LZ Z06 for sale just to clear some room and buy something a bit more practical to replace it with (i.e. a truck). I have not had any issues with the car mechanically, and I'll outline the little things that bother me and will be fixed prior to going to a new owner. I may ramble on as I make this thread, sorry about that.
First off, I'm asking $27,500 obo and I realize that's a starting point, but we all know someone is going to try and see if I'll trade for a hug and some bubble gum, so that's the start point. No trades. I believe the car is sitting right over 88k for mileage, and I am also fairly certain that I am the third owner, all in the south (GA, NC). Last owner was a retired Air Force guy, and I am lifelong military as well, so I think it would be nice to go on to another military family.
It's basically stock with the exception of a K&N the original owner must have put on. I put on AHP package 4 heads right after I bought it for my own piece of mind, and because it'll be the first thing someone that knows these car will ask about if it's going to sell. I opted to not have porting/milling done, and I did not get the Moldstar valve guides on Kohle's recommendation because of the use of the car at the time. It's my DD, and it didn't make sense to go that far if the car wasn't getting serious track use.
This car has been dead nuts reliable for me, with the only "issues" being things that just kind of annoyed you as an owner. For example, the TPMS sensors are all inop with the exception of one. So, you get the warning when you start the car. I actually just had tires put on the car (Firestone Indy 500's), and the place had them for wayyyy too much money and couldn't guarantee the functionality. I opted to just wait and get them on my own time. I'll either have this rectified before the new owner gets the car, or I'll include the sensors with it. Additionally, I get a "service charging system" warning at startup and while driving occasionally, even with battery voltage at a constant 14+ volts. I've done some reading and it could be a couple things, I may try a plug change, as the ones from AHP apparently can cause interference that the computer misconstrues as low voltage I believe. Anyway, it's got a new alternator, and it may get a new battery as just some extra piece of mind. Again, I'll do my best to have the new owner not have this error. It doesn't cause issues other than needing to push the reset button on the console.
Other than those two things, the sun visors have broken hinge- clips (common with the c6), and the exhaust is locked into "loud" as someone installed a mild/wild and lost the remotes. I haven't bothered to mess with it, as it's really not that loud. The sun visors will be replaced before a new owner takes delivery. The rear brakes on on their last legs, and the car will get new KNS rotors and I haven't made a decision on pads yet, however both the fronts and rears will be fresh for a new owner.
Lastly, the car cleans up really really well, but there are some signs of it's age/mileage. Most notably behind the doors for the rear scoops is all rashed up, and there are a couple other marks on the front bumper. I am doing to do a full machine polish of the car in the next few days, and if it's not to my liking there is a local guy I know who does full correction. I know it won't take out the rash or chips, but the rest of the car will look even better than it already does. Most people already don't assume it has the mileage it does, so I'd like it to look as nice as possible for a new owner.
Anyway, this is way too long for some I know, but I'd rather be truthful and thorough than leave something out.
I can take pictures of anything upon request. I only have a few to start with. Please PM me for contact information, anyone asking me to contact them will be ignored. Thanks for looking!

Quick update, TPMS sensors are en route, and should be installed at the end of the week or early next week. Bought a brand new Duralast Gold battery and swapped plugs back to the factory (new) AC Delcos.
I've had some interest, so I have plenty of pictures to share for interested parties.

Another update, brakes are ordered and will arrive tomorrow. They're KNS brake blanks, with Hawk hps 5.0 pads (not padlets).
Charging system is 100% thanks to a trip to the dealer, I can elaborate with interested parties on what was the final cause. But it's 100% sorted now, and has working TPMS sensors.

Yet another update. Brakes are installed, bled, and bedded! Also did some clutch fluid changing (Ranger Method). Wednesday the car gets a full detail and paint correction.

Correct, sorry I haven't been watching the ad as closely the last few days. I do admit to the "rambletron" description, but I'd rather people have too much information than not enough.

Can do, I was supplying those to people who contacted me since I have so many. But I'll post a few. If you want something specific, contact me directly as I don't always check this ad. If I get a pm notification I'm more likely to respond quickly.

Bump for the next week or so, and then I'll be unable to accommodate any requests until the end of September. In the last couple weeks I managed to find two "new" sunvisors (hooray for unbroken visor covers!), and yet another Amsoil oil change. This car needs nothing!
