Re: Wanted - C6 Dealer willing to accept GM GMS pricing. (Twist)
Many of my applicable relatives have been able to participate in the GM-S program, via my GM-S benefits. In doing so, I have come to know many "local" GM dealerships ... Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, HUMMER, Cadillac. My "local" Chevy dealer has sold several vehicles to my family members through GM-S. When I wanted to buy a new 2001 C5 ... the "local" Chevy dealer declined to participate. Oh well ... I went to another dealer ... a little further away ... who now gets all of my Chevy business ... as well as my referrals. ;-)
As for making a profit on GM-S ... depending on the vehicle ... some dealers make MORE on GM-S vs. retail. This would be the case when a dealer sells a new car for a small profit to a retail customer ... vs. selling a vehicle via GM-S ... where the dealer is re-invoiced at a lower price for a sale to an employee.

Re: (THEFLASH)
I believe GM-S is traditionally less than dealer invoice ... with GM-Supplier being 3% higher than GM-S. The GM-S priceis clearly printed on the dealer's documentation ... and is available for perusal by any GM employee. Remember ... dealer participation in GM-S is OPTIONAL.

Does Dave have the official "vote" to say YEA or NAY? It's understandable for GM to withhold GM-S on the C6 (as they do for most all new vehicles ... Escalade, GTO, SSR, etc) ... but I seriously doubt there will never be GM-S on a C6. GM didn't authorize dealers to do GM-S on the C5 when it was initially released, but eventually, dealers were "permitted" to do GM-S, if they so desired.

As for GMS on a C6, according to a Fitchner newletter a while back, GMS already is available on C6's.

Re: (Closer_2001)
I thought after 25 years of being a loyal customer (16 vehicles - 3 Vettes) my dealership could offer me a little more than a stranger that walked in off the street.
But I discovered real quick that I was just a number on a list. I'll do without a C6 before I give them another dollar of my money.
One more thing - anybody that pays a dealer a penny over MSRP makes it hard on everybody. Refuse to pay it and they will stop that nonsense!

Re: Wanted - C6 Dealer willing to accept GM GMS pricing.
I'm in the DFW, TX area and am looking for a dealer to accept GM Supplier pricing on either the C6 Coupe or Convertible. I will put my order in right away if anyone would accept my GM discount.
If any dealers or anyone has any information on dealers that are willing to accept the discount, reply to this thread or email me at tim@lastoria.com.

I did say that I am in the DFW area, but am willing to Travel anywhere to get the car...or possibly get the Bowling Green option.

The first one to offer supplier discount will get my order. Maybe it won't happen this year, but eventually it will and I will send my deposit the day a dealer contacts me--simple as that. I will wait as long as I have to.

I'd love GMS pricing too and since I won't be in the market for a c6 for about a year or two (hopefully 1) I hope it is available by then.

Pricing that is available to GM employees and their suppliers. Dealers have the option to participate in the program. There are occasions when GM does limit availability of the program.
