C6 news
Just got done with a GM Corvette class. They told us that the Precision Red will be replaced by Victory Red later in the Fall. I have an email in to see how many more weeks of Precision Red they will allow us. I will let you know as soon as I hear. For those of you with an order accepted in Precision Red - you will have a very very collectible car. Congrats!
One August 12th I will be taking part of a Corvette Training class that will let us test drive the new C6 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The course will be offered in 9 cities across the US. Atlanta is the first stop!
Other notes I took:
The C5 production will end on July 2nd.
With the 6 speed transmission, you must leave the car in reverse when turning the car off. If not it will drain the battery in accesory mode.
GM will build roughly about 7 weeks of 1SB coupes, then start on 1SA coupes then start on 1SX coupes.
GM will once again offer the Corvette instruction manel on video but this year it moves to DVD format. They will continue to offer the audio CD plus reference guides for the Navigation System.
A new C6 commercial will be aired during the Olympics. It will be directed by Guy Ritchie, who has done some ads/films for BMW in the past. He is also Madonna's hubby
A little unrelated, but the 2005 SSR will offer the LS2 engine with 390hp and 405 lbs of torque. The auto will run 0-60 in 5.49 sec. The new available manual will run it in 5.29 sec.

What happens next for those who ordered PR? Does the order automatically go to VR or are we asked to switch to another. Should we wait to switch if we really like PR?

Is GM offering any loan packages for the C6 like 0% financing for X years?
