2607 with a new model out has to be a disappointment.

You all do know that production is not ramped up fully as yet. Especially as pilot convertibles moved down the line from time to time.

The comparisons provided were of full production years with about 150 or more Vettes rolling out the door per day.

Maybe true, but there were VERY deep discounts on brand new 04's being offered and still in the 6 years shown, 05 sales were 2nd to last.

Seems very comparable to 1999 and 2000 even with the lower production.

Is this the sky is falling scenario?? Overall GM says were reported to be way off, same for Ford. If the Vette is doing near as well as '99 or '00 that would seem O.K. in this market, IMHO.

Let's wait for Total Sales for the Model Year.
Shooting from the hip on such narrow data is rediculous.

Just as a reminder - the Sept sales record was about 1/2 '04's (I guess they made up for the dismal sales last year when they should have sold in the first place. )

Sept sales
2004 3705
2003 1615
2002 2960
2001 3639
2000 2942
1999 2334
1998 2669

And here is the target for this month
Nov Sales
2004 ?
2003 1596
2002 2163
2001 2910
2000 2376
1999 2779
1998 2584

I'm surprised at all the low figures for the 2003 models. With the 50th anniversary and all, I would expect them to be higher. Oh well, I will do my part to contribute next year.

Lower production should keep prices firm, yet prices have continued to come down very quickly. As production picks up, this will exert even more downward pressure on prices. Also more incentive for GM to make quick upgrades to stimulate renewed interest and buoy sales. Still waiting for invoice pricing middle of next year.
