Default Maggie Install

Looking too do LPE kit(Maggie) with their hood .Since I'm located here in Pensacola Fla. I have 2 choices for the install 1 being LPE in Decatur Indiana and the other choice is 21st Centery Muscle Cars in Texas..These are the only 2 authorized installers for LPE. Of course I could by the kit and have someone local do the install. Then I don't get the 3/36 warranty they offer.. My question is 21st is closer for me too ship vehicle and save some $ but I'm wondering has anyone had work done by 21st Century Muscle Cars..+/- feedback would be greatly appreciated....

MadMax, I ran into the same problem. Where to find an authorized installer close to home. It was a tough decision to pass on the extended warranty, but from all the feedback I've had and the reliable history the Maggie seems to have, I'm not gonna loose any sleep over it. It's an '05 w/ 24k, and my factory warranty is about to expire anyway.

On the plus side, I was able to purchase the polished 112, have the hood painted, s/c installed & custom tune (3 1/2 days for installation vs. 2 weeks) for about $1,500 less than what 21st s/c package costs in the satin finish Maggie. On the negavtive side...I don't have a an extended warranty. It's a tuff call bro.......it would be interesing to know how many Maggie owners have had a motor trashed due to the s/c. I've never seen a post about it.

But listen, what every you do.....GO WITH THE POSLISHED OPTION!
It's killer! I just had go in for my state inspection this morning (Maggie's only about 2 weeks old & passed no problem), but when they opened the hood, the entire shop went nuts! All work came to a full stop. It was great!! Even the customers had to go get a look. I've had no regrets on going with the Maggie.

So best of luck with your decision. I'd like to hear other's feedback as well.

Take care,
Mike

21st CMC installed my LPE package. I would not let anyone else work on my car......I have heard nothing negative about them. I was very impressed with the install. It was worth the extra money to me to have Lingenfelter standing behind my install. This may not matter to some, but I was not prepared for the reaction people have to "Lingenfelter" on the side of a car (I've actually had people chase me down just to look at it). I do not care for the polished finish...I wanted a more OEM look.......it was not worth the extra money to me.....whatever you decide, be sure to get the LPE painted fuel rail covers (they're beautiful). Give John Page at 21st CMC a call.

You really can't go wrong with either of the LPE places - IN or TX. You can do a search on here on either and get gobs of good feedback. The only negatives I have heard about either are the wait and the $$$ - but you know the saying. Good, Cheap, or Now - you can only pick two.

You're going to be happy with the maggie. Everyone raves about the low end tq and stealth idle/low load.

You could always do it yourself

The local Caddy dealer installs maggies on the CTS-V and warranties the work.

Maybe you should ask the dealer. Once the maggie is on, and tuned - there are few things that can go wrong.

besides the magnavolt crap fuel booster dying (use a KB BAP).

Juan,

Is this what you are talking about? "KB BAP" (Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump)?

http://www.lingenfelter.com/Merchant...Category_Code=

I've heard some talk about the Magnuson provided boost pump being a weak link. I see they offer the KB unit in a 20 & 40 amp option. What's the difference?

Steve, it was because of that exact picture you posted, I originally ordered the satin finish. Your car is one of the nicest rides on this forum. Most of my friends agree with you 100%, about the "factory" look. I figured I only had one shot and would regret not ordering the polished finish and changed my order just before it was shipped. And yes....it's all bling, bling, I agree.....you can blame George

Yes. Exactly. the maggie in my CTS-V along with a friends had fuel issues caused by failed Magnavolt fuel system upgrades.

Good to know, thanks. Twice now, I have nailed it from a rolling start and my motor stalled for 1/2 a second...like not enough fuel or too much. Does this sound like the possbile problem?

But, you see...this gets back to the original question about getting work performed local vs. out-of-state, right???

I just don't know about you "bling bling" guys . Thanks for the compliment......

As a side note: I noticed 21st CMC is installing the KB BAP instead of the Magnavolt (my car has the BAP on it).
