Default Another MTI Racing TVS Z06 about to hit the streets

Another Z06 is about to join the fleet of MTI Racing TVS powered Corvettes already tearing up the streets.

Charlie's 2008 Z06 is approaching the final stages of the TVS installation. I'll post the Dyno numbers as soon as I have them. Since all of the other Z06's we have built with our standard TVS 1900 system have produced between 723 and 737rwhp, I feel very confident in saying this one will also produce rear wheel horsepower in that same range.

While the power produced by our TVS system is very consistent, each build always develops it's own personallity and uniqueness. In Charlie's case, he opted for our new TVS single disc carbon clutch and the RK Sport supercharger hood. His TVS Z06 is going to look and drive different than all prior.

Stay tuned for more pics and a Dynograph. I'll post them very soon.

I love that pic from Gary looking down on the engine bay and saying to himself "What the hell is that thing sitting on the top of my engine? Did someone leave his lunch box in there?"

I thought it was a "How am I going to explain this to the wife?" look.

I don't know how I am going to tell my wife yet.

Default MTI '1000hp' clutch weight?

Hey Jason,

I asked this on the other TVS thread but didn't get an answer, I'm curious about how much less it weighs compared to the stock 62 lb clutch/flywheel?

Is the "single disc carbon clutch" you mention below something new? If so, how does it compare?

Cheers, Paul.

You'll gonna love the feeling of 700+ RWHP and not want to get out.
I drove my car everywhere for the first few days as I had to break the engine in. I knew I couldn't get on it HARD but I also knew that I had 750+ RWHP JUST WAITING FOR ME. What a GREAT FEELING!!!

I'm sorry that I missed your question on the other thread. The hybrid "1000hp" clutch we have been using is 10lbs lighter than stock.

The single disc carbon clutch that we are using on our current TVS build is new. We feel it is an excellent fit for our TVS system. Due to it's carbon material and the overall design of the clutch it has many plusses including but not limited to better heat efficiency, the ability to hold up to higher torque, and a less stiff pedal.

The hood on the left is the extractor hood which we use on most of our TVS builds. The owner of this Z06, Scott, also chose 20" 360 Forged wheels, a forged bottom end and 10.5lbs of boost. Due to the fact that Scott is in the military and stationed overseas we have had an extended timeframe to delevop and refine our high boost TVS package with his car. We are almost done with the development of this system on his car and I will post the Dynograph results very soon as well.

The hood on the right is a Lingenfelter SV1.

Cool, thanks Jason.

Looking forward to seeing the dyno sheet on Scott's car.

Cheers, Paul.
