Default Need More Fuel. Fuel system upgrade 08 LS3

I am looking for my more fuel. I really dont want to butcher up the car with a return line, and I am not crazy for BAP. The 08 LS3 supposably has the ZO6 Fuel Pump and System. Is there a stronger fuel pump that will fit in tank so I can keep stock system ? I have not seen a double pump in tank set up. Any suggestions?

Running a return line isn't butchering the car. Running a return style fuel system is the correct way to fuel a boosted car. You need a 1:1 regulator to keep the pressure differential across the fuel rail steady under boost.

However yes you can do a twin in-tank fuel pump setup, or add a second external unit depending on HP demands.

We have a very clean looking kit targeted at up to 900rwhp using an external Bosch pump. I prefer it to the twin pump setup in the C6 platform but everyone has their opinions.

Default More Fuel

I am looking for 650 RWHP, I am currently maxed out at 580 RWHP on stock fuel system. My shift points are reduced to 6200 RPM To stay safe, from leaning too much out.

I was in the exact same boat. A 6200 rpm fuel cut off and fuel pressure dropping to 35 psi @ 5800 rpm.
I opted for a Racetronix fuel pump wiring harness http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.a...H%2D008&eq=&Tp
With the Pump booster interface connector set http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.asp?ic=PBIC%2D001&Tp
A KB BAP, KB89069 KIT BOOST-A-PUMP 40 AMPhttp://www.kennebell.net/accessories...boostapump.htm
I installed this by myself in about 3 hours. Had the car retuned and moved the fuel cut off to 6700 rpm.
I’m now @ 663/585 with 60 psi fuel pressure all the way to the cut off. The BAP only kicks in when I’m into boost, so in daily driving it rarely activates.
It was under $400 not including the tune.

The Kenne Bell BAP really is a good product and a reliable one... At your power that would be the first choice for the money...

Taylor, what is your opinion of the MSD unit compared to the Kenne Bell?
Just curious.

Feel free to contact us on our stage 1 C6 fuel system, nothing is changed in the front of the vehicle, everything is at the tank. Second pump only comes on under boost, and is good from 550 to 900rwhp. Above that we have a stage 2 and 3.

Very clean, effective, and the tank does not need to be dropped if you choose not to.

Doug, how involved is the installation of your stage 1? Can you send me a drawing and/or parts included? also, Would changing the injectors from 60 to 80 and staying with the stock set up help? this is on a C6z06 with ur 2200 kit and no restrictor plate.

thnx

Here is our fuel system:

We use a Paxton regulator and a Bosch pump. All the lines come cut with fittings attached.

Sorry for the delay, we have been at the corvettes @ Carlisle show for a few days.

You must maintain proper fuel pressure to have consistent results, over sizing injectors to make up for lack of fuel pressure is a blow up waiting to happen, regardless of what kind of power it makes in a controlled environment like a dyno pull.

Our set up does not require the removal of the fuel pump for the stage 1 kit, but does require decent mechanical skills, as any fuel system work would.

You will not have to jam a fitting into the tank, which are common to leak, like some kits provide. We provide a complete CNC'd fuel block which has a #8 pick up feed that has two fuel sock pick ups in the rear bottom of the tank. It also includes a return that can be used later if you wish to upgrade to stage 2 later, without having to purchase another piece from us.

I will put up a separate post shortly on the kit with pricing, pictures, dyno results etc. All wiring-relays-fittings-hoses made to size already-etc etc etc are included, nothing else is needed to finish the install other some some basic tools.

I just took a look at the instructions. Pretty neat and doesn't require dropping the drivetrain. Not too keen on tapping the fuel tank though. How much RWHP does it support?

Would like to see how ECS's Stage 1 kit handles the tank connections.

I got some 32lb injectors and they seem to work fine with my basic mods. A guy at knzautoparts seemed to know what he was talking about. He says the stock units are 19lb and they have the all the way up to 83lb.
