Default Z06 Warhawk with TTix twin turbo build

I thought I would share some pictures from our new build - a warhawk/ttix build
We had another project finished installing a ZR1 engine in a Z06 a while ago here on the corvetteforum http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...-in-a-z06.html

The car is a 2006 Z06 with the driveline prepared to take the Ttix power. Some driveline facts,
RPS Billet triple carbon clutch
Carbon fiber drive shaft
RPM built transmission
Hardened output shafts in the diff
ECS diff/tranny cage
PFADT diff mounts

The engine is built by DRM and are based on the warhawk block and their LS7 heads, compression is around 8.5 some facts,
Warhawk block
Warhawk LS7 heads, ported, inconel exhaust valves
FAST102 with NW 102 throttel
Crank and rods is callies best setup
JE pistons, coated, DRM designed
DRM turbo cam
Katech valvecovers and relocated coils
PFADT engine mounts

Dyno numbers on a engine dyno was 500hp/650ftlbs, note the 8.5 compression and it's emission legal

The engine got installed in the car without the turbo setup to be able to go to the local test station ... (they don't like turbos and superchargers)

The fuel system is the new Aeromotive in-tank setup (Eliminator version) including the Aeromotive pump controller. We use the Injector Dynamics extremely linear 1000cc injectors to get a very smooth idle and flow enough up to 1000rwhp.

The pump controller. We have put on a water protection after this picture was taken

The TTix kit, we have their new big 6" intercooler and the upgraded billet turbochargers from Precision.

So time to install the fun stuff We run in to a small problem because the deck on the warhawk setup is raised so the exhaust manifolds don't sit there they should be sitting so we had to make some small modifications to make everything fit.

Some close-ups, note that we are using the water cooling of the wastegates. So far I have no idea if it makes any difference.

Everything in place ready to get install in the car. Note that we have taken out the complete engine wire harness and installed it to the engine. This is a much easier way to get all wires there you want them nicely clamped to the block and wires that needs heat protection taken care of.

Now in the car .. we also use DRM's aluminum radiator with engine oil cooler to keep the heat down.

The big intercooler and right air intake.

The left side.

Exhaust side.

Wastegates.
Right side.

Left side.

The crank case vent and you can see the two 4-port Eboost2 solenoids.

We are using a methanol system from Alcohol Injection Systems (thanks to Rodney for his help ). The tank installed in left side rear compartment.

The methanol pump and controller.

The car have now been driven nice and easy around 600 miles to brake the new engine in. Now we put it up on the dyno to do the first runs, I will post here as soon as we have som results - everything above 900rwhp is ok

Many thanks to Nick @ Turbotechnology for their great support.

Very nice! You've definitely got all the bases covered. Nice motor only numbers. Thanks for the great shots of the TTix kit.

Has anyone had any trouble with the oil return from the turbo's not pulling oil back to tank and leaking. I'm asking because I'm installing a A.P.S kit and the question was brought up?

Thanks for your help.

Very nice pic's of that build! Looks great

APS relies on a scavenge pump due to the turbos being lower.
TTIX uses gravity drain successfully.

We have not been able to take it to the limit yet. The highest boost we have run is 16psi. Our dyno maxes out at around 1200Nm. When the winter is over we will take the car to another dyno to run the two highest boost levels.

These runs have been made with the Eboost boost levels SP1(10psi), SP2(12psi), SP3(14psi) and SP4(16psi). At the remaining levels SP5 and SP6 we shoot for 18 and 20psi
We have some small tweaking to do on the Eboost to get a more linear raise in peak horsepower between the SP1-4 as you can see in the dyno chart.

Thank you very much for all the kind comments
If you see something I could improve please comment
