Done a few WG/duty cycle controller setups on blower cars. It is really hard on the belt and blower. Turns out blowers don't like to freewheel on demand, lots of shock on the system.
It's one of those things many people say they want, but nobody actually wants to pay for it. There are many ways to accomplish traction on a blower car and your first step is REAL engine control.
If you are willing to spend the money on that, all is easy.

So Taylor, if you run, said blower at 25psi...ran a wastegate, controlled by a boost controller on the cold side/compressed piping....bleeding boost(according to the controller/WG spring)...the blower still running the same rpm vs engine as you accelerate... all that is changing is thr pressure in the compressor piping. Do you mean that that process, the constant opening/closing of the WG to relieve pressure(to control boost) would cause THAT much stress on the blower itself? Wouldn't that be just like shifting?(which I know thats when most blower belts come apart-load-unload).
I guess it would be similar to the same thing. So, if you have a belt problem when shifting, you will probably have it as well with his setup I mentioned as well...therefore, you'd(that person) may want to look into a different bracket/belt design.
I do not have any videos myself on this but, it's about to happen on the car I am building. So,..I won't say it will be done in a weekend lil but, I will post up when we do the boost controller and ecm setup.
I appreciate the feedback man,thanks.

It's a shame how many people buy 6k wheels, 1600 hoods, but won't pay for an active working boost management system,..something that will actually make they're cars work-

Yes, we had a customer that wanted to be able to go WOT in first gear and have ZERO wheel spin on a 1000whp F1R/10rib setup and INVO tire. Chased a lot of issues including eventual blower damage in a short time frame.
The system we eventually did, it worked pretty well although it feels very weird and suffered lots of blower/belt issues that made it not worth it for me to pursue further on future builds.
The issues will be much fewer if you don't try to bleed off so much boost. For example trying to make a 1000whp combo only make 550whp is tough. Making a 1000whp combo make 800whp isn't so bad. Then it gets to one of those things, is it really worth it?
I'm not sure how good it is but ProEFI might be a good solution here since they have a PnP setup.

Thanks for the reply, makes sense.
We were looking for a 800rwhp-12xx setup, but only for the first couple of gears(1-2-partial 3) then ramp it to max boost. Hoping for minimal, if any issues. I guess I can always do it, then just unhook the gate from the equation. Worse case scenario, we pull he blower and go turbo(s).
