Only two ways to do it, either a wastegate that bleeds off boost or something in front of the blower such as adjustable restrictor plate.

What i want to know is how much the setup costs
also how Is tuning setup? I would think if the car is tuned to dump X amount of fuel and meth at say 20# in 4th.. pushing 10# in 2nd would mean you would still be dumping the same amount of meth into the motor and running it super rich.. or am i completely wrong?

If it's tuned to dump "x" amount of fuel and meth at 20#'s, why would it dump the same amount at 10#'s? It's all boost referenced, correct?

Yeah that's what fuel tables and map sensors are for.

I'm still curious what the OP's setup is to control boost without effecting the efficiency of the system.

Thats why im asking
i dont think i will make enough power to need boost buy gear.. but would be nice to know how it works and cost

since taylor knows exactly what parts are going on my car.. he would know if i would benifit and how it would interact with the rest of the kit...

Probably proprietary information...

Sweet, another DP Vette to rule the streets.

I'm not a tuner by any means, but I assume that the ECU delivers a certain amount of fuel/timing based on RPM, throttle position, IAT, boost, etc. Although the pulley could be spinning high enough to produce 20#'s of boost, the engine would only see 10#'s of boost, therefore only providing enough fuel for 10#'s of boost.

Whether boost by gear would be worth it...spinning ain't winning. Kumar's car couldn't plant 550whp in 1st gear without a little bit of tire spin, and at 605rwhp, 2nd gear could get iffy also. I think you are shooting for a slightly higher number...so your only choice would be a Supra like 80-punch on the highway. But you wouldn't know anything about the Supra roll racing
