Default 811rwhp - Stock LS3 + Cam/LTH/boost

Origionally we got the car brand new with 56 miles on the odometer and did a ProCharger, Long tube headers, Bassani Catback, and methanol injection. Car made 690rwhp which is pretty average for us and that combo.

Customer came back a year later with 16,XXX miles on the car and needed a clutch and desided to do our new D6 blower cam at the same time.

We retuned it today and car made 811rwhp with the same everything. Only changes were cam and clutch.

So it picked up 120 rear wheel horsepower with our new blower cam on a STOCK LS3 longblock (with our camshaft).

Forgot to mention this was on a 2010 Camaro which should have MORE drivetrain loss than the C6.

If I put on my sales man hat, then; yes it's crazy nothing you've ever heard or seen of, special DP lobes, and can't tell you any specs (in fact I'd have to kill you if I told you).

But just gear head to gear head it's fairly normal

Yeah that's why I actually showed the boost in the graph in the first dyno graph. Identical boost and same pulley both pulls. Cam and clutch were the only two changes. The clutch is a McLeod RXT so it is actually a little heavier

That's freaking awesome man! Maybe the best results I've seen from a simple cam swap. Would this happen to be an orange camaro from over in my area?

So what is the diff between my D5 and the D6?

What blower did you use? By the torque curve it looks like an F1a.

Since its a Camaro, next time try the F1d. May lose a little upper end HP but your torque will pick up a solid 75 across the entire graph. PD blower low end torque with centrifugal type pull in the higher revs

Sorry Vette guys, the F1d only comes in standard rotation

With Taylor's tuning, it will hold the life of the car I am sure. Customer just has to make sure he picks up the right handle at the gas pump.

There is no doubting Taylor's tuning ability but I think this power level has got to be coming close to the limit of the stock/cast rods and pistons. I think the motor lasting the life of the car is a bit optimistic.

And I thought I was ballsy for cranking my LS2 to ~725...

I remember 2 years ago ppl said 650rwhp was about as safe as it gets with LS3's. Guys blowing there engine under 600rwhp still and now 800+ on pump gas.. I seriously doubt Taylor told this guy he has nothing to worry about.

Back to topic, crazy gains from a cam swap for sure. Anyone including myself would kill for 120hp pickup from a cam swap!

Taylor, any chance you have done comparisons with this cam on the same car with other blower cams, like ECS, LPE and yours? Just to demonstrate the power level differences between them. I am sure if you did that, you would have damn near every FI vette running your cam.. congrats on the new cam, looks like a winner to me!
