Surpassed our stock bottom end HP level the other day, 832/733rwhp LS3 ECS blower cam
It just never ceases to amaze me how much power these newer engines from GM are allowing us to make. If I was told this was possible ten years ago I would have laughed! Who knows where it will end with the power that can be made with a stock engine, but around 950 hp at the flywheel is just crazy.
Now of course at this level anything can happen at anytime, which the owner is well aware, but going off of our past history of stock LS2's and 3's over 700rwhp, which is over 60 cars now and a few years going, we are not all that worried about it.
This was in a 2010 Camaro with our base NOVI 1500 kit, but an LS3 is an LS3 to me, I really dont care what it came wrapped up in. 14lbs of boost, and the ECS LS3 BLOWER CAM with meth injection of course.
Heres a dyno vid;

What did I miss?
My answer today is very different then years ago, being that we have so many of these out there at near this power level being road raced, drag raced, and ran in standing mile events now, I'm going to say better then average! It really is unbelievable that they hold up to that from the factory so well.

Our stg 1 fuel system.
The Camaro is fueled with what comes with the kit, which is a BAP and injectors, and a lot of Meth. We have a fuel system for it, which we asked the customer to come back for as a precaution, but we are holding fuel just fine threw out the dyno pulls. Of course dyno pulls and harder actual use are two different things, which is why we requested this car comes back for the upgrade before any drag strip or road course usage. The owner just street drives it on street tires, so I do not see there being a problem.

DP's 811 RWHP 2010 Camaro: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...lth-boost.html
Theres no contest here, all anyone would have to do is add boost until someone blows one up. They make great builds, and I feel we make great builds, no need to start any wars.
I was surprised at how much power it made for 14 lbs, and shocker.. I would like to promote our supercharger kit for the 2010 Camaro too.

So it's hard to say exactly. The closest comparison I could give is from one of our drag racers that decided to switch from pump/meth to straight race fuel since he does not street drive that car much. In the cooler months the car ran the exact same ET, in the summer months it dropped about .05 to .1 off it's usual drop of summer time ET loss. So all in all not much, but thats not in heat soaked street usage, and the octane requirement was met.
I'm sure we could if you would like to, I have found it requires a cam to break 800 though. Well at least to be in a boost level that we feel will stay together.
Again, it just amazes me that these engine can take that and hold up stock.
