I think RC's LMR corvette will be the fastest, maybe even one of the fastest in the country next to atomic fusion, dallas performance has some bad *** vettes as well. Texas holds it down when it comes to corvettes. Hennessey, Texas-Speed, LMR, Dallas Performance, Lethal Performance....good ol shops up here.

"Lingenfelter's fastest C6 Corvette standing mile pass with street tires 226.25 MPH
0-200 mph in 18.34 seconds on 93 octane pump gas. Standing mile in 25.12 seconds at 226.25.
1,100 HP rear wheel on 93 octane
1,300 HP rear wheel on race gas 23 psi boost
Based on horsepower and drag of the vehicle. calculated top speed of roughly 300 MPH!
The video was shot during testing May 7th, 2007 at Oscoda, MI - Oscoda-Wurtsmith Airport formerly Wurstsmith Air Force Base.
The Lingenfelter 2006 ZO6 Corvette 427 CID Twin Turbo blasted down the 11,800 foot runway from a dead stop to a measured mile at 226.25 MPH! "
Taken from Lingenfelter's site regarding the yellow vette.
Not a Texas Mile record, but still pretty darn impressive.
Based on the above statements, it appears they may have done it at the pump gas level, but it is not clear.
If so, that's real solid!
My recollection is that it took the race gas level to get there.

I remember some logs at 3/4 mile before a certain car shredded a belt that were high 220's, should be fun when we all get a chance to get back out there, work has me slammed during March

That is not the texas mile record holder. I believe it was set by a SC/nitrous Black vette. It set the new record of 220+ on Sunday morning at the last Texas mile. Was that Lingenfelter vette running at any event. Or was it someone that was just running up and down the runway. I dont see how they can call it a record without proper timing equipment.

hrm...always thought that NORMAN ran that 226 at texas milke. lingenfelter must have some serious "pull" to get private runs at airforce base!

I will be running my Z this time. Looking to hit 193-194mph. I ran 190.868mph in October 09. Have not done much to the engine since, Just safty equipment to go over 190mph. Hoping to break 200mph once I replace the engine during the summer. Time will tell. It is always a good time at the Texas Mile.

depends on power level, but zr1 gears will get you to 200+ without big power... if your looking to break records then things need to change

I won't be read for this year's events, next march or may hopefully.
of course I'm no big dog, but I'll be spraying my way there next time around.

The mph killer on the C6's is the 4th-5th drop in gear ratios.. It's equivelant to shifting from 4th to 6th in a P car.. The Zr1 trans is where it's at.. I'm hoping to make the may event with a goal of 215mph..

Are they running at the Texas Mile in May?
