well, i fixed the lines and started it up again. its still has oil coming out of the compressor outlet, but it doesn't seem as much, just a film on the inside, before it was shooting out and misting all over the car.

p.s. good news is the ww works.. lol

One of two things, either you have a restriction in the line so the oil is backing up, but all the pics look to be good, just make sure you don't have any kinks in the line anywhere.

Or
You're reving the car without the intercooler pipes on it. Depending on the speed that the turbos are actually achieving, this is HELL on the turbos. Without the proper back pressure, it doesn't side load the compressor like it should, which causes the seals to leak, and damage to the thrust bearing. We've completely destroyed a brand new turbo in less than a week from having a leaking BOV on there. It lets the comp over spin (without resistance) and according to Robert Blouche, doesn't apply the correct side thrust load, which kills the bearings.

But clean the oil out, cause you're probably right about not wanting to send that through the MAF, at least not in any sort of large quantity.

hmmm, i didn't think about the side loading thing, but the fact that one was doing it and not the other just got me worried, so ill press on.

i got the fenders cut, but i need to get ready for work and class tomorrow, will hit it off again on tuesday.

why use a scavange pump when you have ample height to drain back into teh pan? just complicates things.

Yes, Carl, only on one side is weird, the most common problem we've seen with with some sort of restriction in the oil return system, wether it's a fitting to small (one of our first revisions) or a kink in the line. With yours there's really only one hose that would effect one side and not the other. But when you mentioned "getting to the IC piping" that will Def do it, not sure why only on one side though. We've never seen a "out of box" failure on any of the turbos, and each one is throurally checked before they ship so that shouldn't be an issue, but if it ever is, you know we warranty them.

Tiago, it's primarilly for ease of install. It's much easier to install two bolts to an oil return pump, and drill a hole in the oil cap than it is to drop the pan. It's also much easier/cheaper to repalce the oil cap than the oil pan, if ever there were an uninstall (trading it in). Like I said before, we tried to leave as much of the car as possible untouched and unmodified. Some things are inevitable, but if it cost $400 more for a decent pump and some extra lines, so be it, as we can leave one more thing untouched on the car.

i like the scavenge pump now. and im using the tube that is attached to the rocker cover so tapping the oil cap isn't necessary anymore. I just removed the fitting and heated up the metal tube, and the line slid right over it.

I'm depressed on mine, the new shocks didn't fix the problem. I put the new shocks on and adjusted them all the way stiff (terrible ride) and they were still hitting

I was thinking of that last night. With all these work, I wish the engine was a built engine to take [full] advantage of the TT system. I think this is going to be a nice result.

I'm just not sure if this kit really requires all these extra work that Carl had to do?

why a built engine? go to other forums and they put ls2's in rx7's and make 800whp on e85 all day.. same goal as mine.

high compression 10.9 + e85 + 18psi = fun

i can say this, i will try to make 800whp on the dyno till it blows or the turbos flat line.

Hi Carl;
I must have missed the e85 as part of the formula:
high compression 10.9 + ... + 18psi = [not] fun

Good luck and videos...

This weeks kind of hectic because of the upcomming wedding and all, but give me a heads up before you go to the dyno, I'll try to make sure I'm available on that day for phone calls incase you do run into any issues.
