I watched the pump being changed on my eforce install and it is definitly a PITA. This looks like an interesting option if you don't want to drop the tank.

Removing the tank and dealing with all of the o-rings/connections/etc. is tedious to say the least. The LS7 pump is a good pump though and we do change these into some of the earlier models instead of doing the fuel system. However, for the C6 style Stage 1 fuel systems go in relatively quickly, so the price difference is not that much between the LS7 pump installed vs. the Stage 1 C6 installed.

Silly question, perhaps, but what about returning the car to "stock."
Would we just cap both the inlet/outlets? Or is there another course of action (besides replacing the tank)?

As I'm sure you know, many of us "demod" the car before trading it, selling it, etc., hence my question.

Also, does this setup, in terms of wiring it up, work with the Racetronix harness?
Thanks!

I was thinking the same thing when I was viewing the video. I guess you would have to do some fishing!

Yes just cap both fittings off... The one top return fitting is capped to begin with on the Stage 1. The return is only used on Stage 2+.

We have a totally separate wiring harness that comes with our Stage 1 Fuel System. You will not be using the Racetronix for our system however I guess you could for the stock pump feed (Not necessary).

The tool that we include is pretty damn good to keep it hanging from. I dropped the backing plate into the dummy tank we have here just to see and its very easy to fish out if need be! I highly doubt you will drop it though.

Sorry it must have been missed! We have a different pick up for the 98, but the general principle is the same. So yes we can help you out with that. Give us a call at your convenience and we can discuss it in length.

Thanks!

Well... you would need to pull the tank for your monster HP (stage 4 fuel system) to remove the factory regulator to install the boost referenced. So your still good.

Any chance y'all will ever make a -10 or -12 feed with a -8 return? Be easier to make them with female NPT.. That way the end user can use what ever size they want, or you could do female AN.. PLenty of AN to AN radiused pump fittings to make any combo you want..

Probably not only because the need for that much fuel delivery would put you into tube chassis territory IMHO. To give an example, last weekend I ran 8.57 from a C6Z with a stg 3 set up and had plenty of fuel flow to go. Thats using the stock feed line which is equivalent to a -6.

General break down;

stg 1 uses the stock regulator/rails etc. Factory feed line used from the rear of the car. 750-800 RWHP

stg 2 uses the stock rails, but the factory regulator is removed, and an Aeromotive boost referenced regulator is installed with a return line. All fittings, regulator mounting etc included. Basically plug and play, and you can upgrade from the stg 1 without any wasted parts or additional expense. 800-900 RWHP

stg 3 replaces the pump with an Aeromotive A1000 pump.

900-1000 RWHP

Stg 4 replaces fuel rails, feed lines to -8.

1000 RWHP +

HP ratings are generalised, and IMO under rated if anything.

I prefer them sooner personally, but many do not want to change them, and they have been proven to work. When someone calls for the stg 3 system I give my opinion, and the facts of what has worked repeatedly. Then it is their option to choose, my car has aftermarket fuel rails for what thats worth.

I'm not interested in anything besides the bulkhead.. If the pump has a -8, -10, -12 inlet.. Then that's what i'm going to feed it with. Why would a A1000 have a -10 inlet if all it needs is a -8? I want to make sure that the inlet size of any pump i ever run has no restrictions.
