Default oil cooler options on ecs s/c 07 Z06

Will be installing an ecs kit on my 07 Z shortly (thanks Spinmonster) and I am looking for alternatives for the oil cooler. I prefer to keep the own air to liquid cooler. Anyone have any luck or suggestions on mounting or am I stuck purchasing a dewitts radiator? I prefer not to remove the cooler.

I've seen where someone just made there own simple brackets and mounted the stock oil cooler behind the fan. That is what I plan on doing.

I've seen them moved, so just make a bracket and see how it fits

Thanks for the info. Anyone have a pic for an idea? I see the procharger kit utilizes the factory oil cooler.

Exactly... We have had some customers that mount it forward with some simple aluminum brackets.

We have not found the need for the extra oil cooler, except on track cars, so we have not made a purpose built kit to retain the oil cooler.

See pics of my ECS install to see what it looks like and how it's done.

While we are on the topic what temperatures are considered high enough to stop playing around if in lets say Mexico for example? At what temp for coolant, oil and trans should be a stopping point? I have a EOC and I felt after just a few pulls my oil temp was high but then again I may not know the threshold of what is considered high.

Thanks

stock radiator and z06 oil cooler and after running hard in Mexico I would see 245° oil and 210° coolant if I remember right. That's a good point to let it cool imo.

If that's the case I'm good, I don't let my coolant temps see 200°, I think my oil temp was 225° or so but not sure. I know it wasn't higher than 225.

I put one in the driver side fender well. Works great.
