You need a switch plate on the shifter to do boost by gear

yes that what I was thinking... because there is no way for the eboost to know which gear you are in....

Thanks for your help Fran

The microswitches in the shifter housing aren't reliable. Louis @ LG came up with a box that converts the front wheel speed sensor signal into something the EBII can use for boost by speed.

We have been on the dyno for over an hour. Still trying to figure out the eboost2. 580whp@9lbs. We try to take the boost up but it drops back to 9psi.

This is one of the reasons I went with blitz icolor. Allows me to toggle thru preset Boost channels. Blitz is neat as I have RPM signal and MPH signal from pcm wired into the icolor. It allows you to view along with any other analog 0-5 volt sensor. I also have lc1 going thru it. Now when setting up MPH boost channels all u need to do is set up boost MPH map and done.

Oh one more thing I bought blitzs fuel pressure sending unit as it plugs and play. I can log fuel psi and reference it with Rpm boost MPH ect. I like this setup as it keeps gauges to a minimum ...NOT A BIG FAN OF GAUGE PODS THAT ARE STUFFED. hence my custom made gauge pod.

My boost by speed box ( gear, technically) screws with the ABS signal. Z06er had issues with it, but it works as advertised, on non abs cars ( Practically no one here deletes it)

The reason its dropping back to 9 psi, is overboost, from the sounds of it. See what overboost is set to. your SP is set to what ever, GP is set to what ever, it ramps up quick, and then dies out because overboost is coming in, and setting it back to your gate settings.

I can dig up my initial settings for APS TT cars, if you would like them.

As for the switch plate, you can make it work but its a pain in the *** and the switches will break over time.

Ive had 3432342 revisions of boost by speed/gear setups, Im just going to keep quiet on what I have in the works now. At my snails pace, it might be middle of summer.

I could use those settings for my APS TT and eBoost 2 settings as I am going through a lot of upgrades/changes right now.

Thanks,

Default eBoost2 and MPH

I know this is an old thread but I thought in case anyone found it they might want to know that our STOV-004 now supports the eBoost2 staged boost control modes using vehicle speed (similar to but improved over what the STOV-002 supported).

Here is another thread with some discussion/feedback on that:
