Default LS7 aluminum intake

Just got one of these in to try. Thought I would share a few pics. This will be a nice add on for F/I or large cams that like the higher rpm's.

I've seen that, but not one installed. Good to know it fits under the stock hood.

I can get one for you. Made per order. Normally a couple of weeks. I do not expect this intake to be usefull on a stock or small cammed motor. It will have all its benifits at high RPM's and forced induction.

My first test will be on a forged ls7 with ysi.

The intake is 2500 with fuel rails and can be made for stock tb or 102.

I happen to have a YSi ... Will you dyno compare this to the stock intake or fast ? I understand that the tune will change, but supercharger will show true results of using the same pully.

If these are made to order, can they stagger the intake runner length front to back ?

LB there is no need. THats probably just to show the different intake trupet lengths you can opt for. i have seen staggered trupet lengths (4 pot inter 2 cylinders longer than the outer two) and there was an improvement in power and torque under the curve for a small reduction in top ens.

As for the OP, i think the intake runners are two short. Also be nice to know what volume the plenum is. Again looks on the small side but could be wrong.

Think you will still see the rear cylinfers running lean as they get all the air. be intresing to see if they could increase the volume of the plenum but seperate the two banks of. THen feed each back from a centeral channel through a narrow slit. I have seen this used to good effect on 500++bhp 2.0ltr engines. can really help evan out the air flow across the cylinders.

Chris.

Finally got some numbers!! NA forged z06 with mast heads and 2" AR headers running a Punisher cam on E85. Results are a comparison to a fast 102. As you can seen the Fast out performs the sheet metal intake all the way to 6200 rpm's but for those of you with power to spare down low or if you are a high rpm racer this is the intake for you. 47 more HP and 34 lbs of torque on top. What a punch!!

For 95% of us I would agree. But not if you are doing some 60 to 160 racing!!

Really need a solid roller or really light valvetrain to take advantage of it.

It's the short runner on an n/a motor that makes it look like it got its *** kicked. The real story will be on a boosted application.
