I'm probably the idiot for not really understanding the problem. So I assume he's right about the MAF sizing, and the Injectors COULD be rescaled to fit within the computers available parameters, but is that the best method or should in go speed density or something else?

The injector size limit is no issue at all. There are two ways to get around the size limit, one is scaling the whole tune, the other is doubling the stoich AFR table and then cutting the injector flow rates in half, which should get them under the limit. Either way works to install larger injectors.

For the MAF it depends on which limit they're hitting. If it's the airflow limit then scaling the whole tune will get you under that (512 g/sec on early E38 ECM's). If it's the frequency limit then a larger charge tube would fix it assuming you're using a card style MAF already.

Or just go to SD tune then the MAF doesn't matter, which is what I would probably do personally

Thanks for the information.

Josh, what is the ID of the MAF pipe for the c6z kit? That will decide if I need to look at MAF options or not.

LS3 and LS7 kits go with a 4" MAF tube.

Finally have some time this week to clean the filter. Quick q, once the plate comes off do both clamps have to come off the inlet to get the filter off?

thx

You can just leave the silicone reducer attached to the blower, and remove the dongle and air filter.

Is there direction on how to keep your power steering cooler? Is it really not a big deal to just delete it?

Since I used my nick Williams throttle body, I need another 4" clamp. Is there a part number that I can get one overnighted from somewhere? We are shooting to start it Monday.

Since they sit behind the hot air coming off the radiator fan they don't really do much good. We've been deleting them without issue for years.
If you want to keep it, you can usually tilt it up diagonally and use just one of the mounting points to hold it up.

We have them here at the shop, but if you just need something in the meantime try O'reillys for a big clamp.

Something like this to hold you over.

Ok so im new to the boosted world so i may have lots of questions. I have an 06 LS2 Z51. Currently the car has an N/A cam, ported ls6 oil pump, LT headers/ full exhaust, FAST 102 mani, and aftermarket intake (among other small changes). It made 476whp before the fast intake so I'm sure its a little more now. Im looking at buying the V3 SI trim with a 3.4" pulley. I know the standard kit comes with 60lb injectors but i want to go with like a 90lb. Will a BAP be enough to handle everything? Im sure going with a fuel system upgrade would be ideal but if its not a necessity i wont spend the extra money. Im wanting to be over 600whp if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Me being I have a 06 ls2z51 and been down this road I have you answers .first most you will always want more boost the si tends to run out if steam early so buy the v3t trim so you have room to gain hp .I made 704 on a mustang dyno on a 3.6 (14psi) and straight pump gas.
Now your fuel question. Just upgrade your fuel pump with a walbro 450 or a 485 and run the 60/90lb injectors. I made my power stated above with a 450 pump and 1000cc injectors. With your mods and this blower you will make plenty of hp.
Now also on a 3.6 pulley I did end up lifting my heads after a bunch of track and street passes so you could run a 3.8 to keep that from happening as fast. Josh knows about my car and I'm sure he will chime in here soon

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to stay away from having to drop the fuel tanks and do an external IF the BAP wasnt enough..Ive never dropped the tanks before lol.

The tank isn't really that bad. Yes the trans being in the car makes it alil more of a pain but it's still do able. To me driving the tank is worth not spending 400$ on a bap

Well the BAP is already included in the kit. But i do have a 6speed, which i hear they are easier to work with when dropping the tanks.
