Thanks for the quick reply, Josh. It's ground down now and should have enough clearance.

I didn't see mention in the instructions but from another guy's install thread I see I'll need to cut a hole on the passenger side for the hose from the intercooler to pass thru. Any idea what size hole saw I need to buy?

Other than that, I got the steering rack out of the way today, replaced the OEM harmonic balancer with a Powerbond, and cut down the top of the radiator for clearance. The Chrysler puller from Autozone is great. Bought a balancer install tool on Amazon for about $12. New balancer is pressed on but I havent put the ARP bolt on yet because I still need to pin it. I thinks that's as far as I can go now until the kit arrives from A&A....weeeee!

Hey Josh, couple quick questions while I wrap up my install.

I didnt see mention in the instructions but have read others talking about needing to change the stock fuel pump's fuse from 20A to 30A. Should this be done?
Are you guys putting the CARB exempt decal right next to the original emissions decal on the passenger side of the hood?
Can I get you to email me a base tune for my 2005 base model with auto trans? I have the 4" pulley and 60lb injectors.

Thanks!

Yes put the extra 30A underhood in place of stock fuse.
We typically put the sticker on the top shroud near the driver side.
Send me an email about the base tune. Josh@aacorvette.com

I REALLY appreciate the help, Josh! I think just one more question though. Is the Racetronix harness necessary to ad? I understand it takes the load off fuel pump relay circuit. Since it's not part of the kit though, I assume you guys arent putting them on your installs, right?

It's optional, and not required.

I recently bought a C6 with a T-trim Vortech A&A kit on it. It has a full size Dewitt radiator on it. The intake tube to the blower is flattened going over the radiator. I see that A&A sells what appears to be a cut-down radiator (hard to tell from the website pics). Dewitt also sells a cut down radiator for supercharger kits. How much does a cut down radiator help horsepower? If I bought the A&A radiator, can I make the fan from the Dewitt radiator fit or will I need to buy another fan as well?

The short radiators don't increase horsepower. The stock fan will fit on either unit.

Default CA smog legal?

I see that these kits are available to be smog legal if the headunit is the Si-trim and I’ve REALY been looking into getting one for my 2006 c6 ls2. However what through me off was I thought if a vehicle is tuned, then it will fail smog? Right now my car is full bolt ons BUT if I return it back to stock with z06 stock exhaust and buy the standard A&A kit with the Si-trim headunit, will my car be complete California smog compliant?

Also if I went this route, what would be a ball park estimate on dyno numbers? If I’m keeping it ca legal, I would like to go the route that would get me the best numbers also. So what pulley size, psi of boost, injector size or any other variables should I do that can keep my vehicle smog compliant all while making good hp and trq numbers on the dyno without putting my motor or supercharger under to much stress?

Yes with stock exhaust, stock cam, and the CA s/c kit it will be able to pass, even after getting the tune dialed in.
Usually a auto LS2 makes 500-520 rwhp and the manual about 540-550 rwhp with the CA kit. You will have to run the Si-trim and 4.0" pulley for the CA spec which is about 7-8 psi. Give us a call at the shop if you have anymore questions. 805-278-4107 shop

The innercooler will occupy the area where your stock oil cooler is now, you might be able to relocate it somewhere else but that would be a custom modification. Personally its better if you have the oil cooler in the radiator, it helps the oil come to operating temp sooner and unless you track the car regularly there is no advantage to having an external oil cooler. I'm over 1100 rwhp running dewitts short radiator with the coolers inside it and I have no issues at all, drove most of the day yesterday temps were lower 80's and I had the air on, coolant temps were 205 to 214 crusing and I saw it at 220 once while stuck in some long traffic light like it took over 5 mins to get through so that was a little extreme. The oil temps were roughly 2-3 degrees higher than the coolant at all times. I also have the stock temp 195 stat installed as well

If you aren't making over 1000 hp there is NO advantage to going with the shorter radiator and bigger intake tube, you'll just be wasting money....no hp gains!

Either make your own brackets to move the oil cooler so you can fit the intercooler there.
Or Delete the oil cooler with block-off plate and gasket.
Or Order alum radiator with oil cooler built-in.

What is the least expensive kit needed to get a 2012 Grand Sport to ~650whp on 93 without meth or fuel upgrades or cam? Kit only.

Get the polished kit with the V3 Ti, smaller pulley and good Dyno tune. $5,650
