Suggestions - 1k HP vette driveline for street/strip
My car put down 930 to the tire months back shaking down on the dyno and probably is closer to the 1k mark now after a vaccum pump and some tuning. This is a street car - full A/C and I like to drive it an hour plus on the weekends to the chesapeake bay.
I ran it at the track two weeks ago on street tires and scared the crap out of myself. I have driven 8 second cars, and am building a 7 second nitrous combo in my other car. This is a M6 vette with the stock 2005 rear. I have a ZR1 clutch, and I think the street tires have kept the driveline alive.
I would like to run 9's in the 1/4. Even a low 10 would be fine, I don't care as I have a race car already.
For a real street car, what tire combo on a Z06 wheel, what rear, and what other mods do you guys recommend?

Even on street tires I'm amazed the '05 dif held. The minimum would probably be a stock TR6060 tranny w/ 30 spline output shaft. RPM has some nice packages if you want to build it up more.
