That's good to know, I wouldn't mind cutting off another $94 if they're not needed. I thought I'd need one w/ the magnafuel for sure, then wasn't sure if there would be a weird situation where I would back flow into the stock tank so just threw one in there too.

I haven't heard any (it's actually out of the back corner). This method is used across quite a few different fuel systems. During straight line acceleration all the fuel should be forced back there, so the only issue I could see is if you run it low while doing road course type stuff and the fuel is sloshing around some. The small dual tanks in the vettes would seem to minimize the 'slosh' though too.

Here's a revised version cutting out the check valves and moving the regulator over to somewhere next to the alternator. This also replaces the ECS bulkhead fitting and fuel sock with 2 individual bulkhead fittings and no sock:

Nice, did you use any fuel sock on the AN fitting?

From what I read, that little russell filter wouldn't work well so I decided to do a pre and post fuel pump filter setup from Magnafuel. This also eliminates the need for any fuel sock on the AN feed that's attached to the tank. It adds a bit more to the cost, but I'm not exactly sure what level of filtering is needed, so I'd rather error on the side of caution.

I'd like to attached the pre-pump filter directly to the pump, but I'm not sure how the space will work for fitment, and also whether or not the fuel pump itself needs to be below the AN fitting in the tank to be 'gravity fed'. Anybody have advice here?

race only mod:

ditch both tanks
ditch both mufflers, add fuel cell inplace of the mufflers.

If you have an early LS1 style set up do you still need to run the other line or can you use the lines in place? Also, if you use the lines there where can you get AN lines that have a quick connect on one end

Thought he had one of those listed in the parts? They are pretty common (jegs, summit, ebay)

That makes our system look like a bargin! And we could easily substitute in for a magna-fuel pump if you were to really ever need it!

You're looking at another $350+ for the mangafuel upgrade compared to that walbro 255lph, plus some fittings for the pump. Not sure what brand that regulator is or how it compares to the Aeromotive in quality/price.

So you're around $1000 pretty quickly just with a pump upgrade.

It's basically a copy of the A&A system, which is rated up to 800whp. Will your setup with a big pump swap support over 1000whp, and if so, what cars are running that setup?

For external use I wouldn't use a pump that couldn't be used with a hobbs or voltage control box. The Weldon (2345A) that I had and controller worked best for well over 1250rw plus.
750 Magna fuel with an hobbs is good as well (~1150-1200rw). IMO those pumps don't last too long. Just my opinion. Don't cheap out on fuel system.

Our system is basically a copy of Spin's system in design. And with the Bosch pump (we offer) there's a few people running around the 1000hp mark.

We don't have it listed yet, but we even have rails as an option with the system to make all the fittings AN.

For full race setups, I think Carl had it right though, just go with fuel cells!

I am putting together a system similar to this using the Walbro tried and true GL392, if you want to save some cash check out RacePartSolutions and use code 0001 at check out saves you 10 % and they will price match to.

Maybe I was looking at the wrong parts on that site, but everything seemed pretty pricey for what looks like Fragola parts maybe based on the part numbers? I've actually been talking to Star Performance and their prices are pretty awesome using Red Horse brand fittings. They price match prostreetonline too.

They recommend using the Aeroquip hose for e85, but here's where I'm at with them as far as part #'s and pricing:

Need 15’ of -08 AN SS Teflon lined hose
Need 10’ of -06 AN SS Teflon lined hose

That's only $1,056.61 + the russell fitting (~$10) and then the hose.

Oh, and plus the lingenfelter block off/bypass plugs:

http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...tore_Code=LPE& Product_Code=L750010103&Category_Code=P0 16 (OEM fuel pump regulator block off) $15

You've heard people have issues with the Magnafuel 750? I heard it was pretty solid.

Personally i hate stainless braided lines they kink, you get metal in your hands , and they are not very flexible. i would personally use braided kevlar line. They are more expensive but definitely worth it in my opinion.

As long as it works with e85, I'm open to different hose options
