Do you know what the difference between installing a snow kit and alky kit? Obviously not.

Sounded a bit high to me- what do you guys think. I am located in new braunfels, TX (close to Austin and San Antonio).

Damn I just installed my buddie's ECS Alky control kit on a c5, took me 5 hours with wiring and solder/heat shrink everything nicely.

Charged him $200 but he's a friend

I can make an educated guess at the shop in SA that you are talking about. If Pat is tuning the car, I'd no doubt pay for it. Their results speak pretty big about what they have done in the last year at TI, Houston track rentals, and the Texas Mile.

So took you five hours, not including materials. And if it takes a tech 5 hours to do something, a shop is correct in billing over 7.

Yeah I wouldn't of done it if it wasn't for a friend, but I do have a busy schedule so couldn't do it for free.

It does take time and patience to do a nice job and hide everything, yet still have everything accessible

Shop labor is 100.00 hr on avg.

Shops know about how many hrs it takes to install each item.

Figure from there.

Jeff, it's more around $125 per hour now, but I completely agree with what you're saying.
