ProCharger 8" balancer/4" blower 8-rib direct drive belt (K080537HD or K080545HD?)
My direct drive instructions recommend this belt size for 3.60-4.00” blower pulley and 8.0” balancer w/ 10-rib
K100540HD:
Effective Length (in) 53.96
Effective Length (mm) 1370
Number of Ribs 10
Outside Circumference (in) 54.5
Outside Circumference (mm) 1385
Unforutnately there is no '540' in an 8-rib.
There are only these 2 options:
K080537HD:
Effective Length (in) 53.71
Effective Length (mm) 1364
Number of Ribs 8
Outside Circumference (in) 54.272
Outside Circumference (mm) 1379
K080545HD:
Effective Length (in): 54.50
Effective Length (mm): 1384
Number of Ribs: 8
Outside Circumference (in): 55.125
Outside Circumference (mm): 1399
Is anyone running either of these? I'd rather order one that's known to work vs. trial and error.

It is tedious, but it won't impact the integrity of the belt. It has been done and was used before the direct drive hit the market when doing full 10 rib conversions.
I would use the 54.5" belt and give it a go. The suggestions are just that. I bet you will find it works just fine. One thing I have considered doing when on the margin like you are is possibly using a smaller idler pulley than stock. Metco makes 50 and 100mm idlers and Lingenfelter sells a 76mm, so I wonder if utilizing one of these would allow you to use a longer belt (bigger idler) or shorter belt (smaller idler) and maybe even gain belt wrap.
