Anyone making 1000+ with a 2200HD?
I will be going with an SHP 427 and stock heads (probably ported). Found a deal on a newer 2200HD and im considering upgrading from the 1500 on my ECS kit.
Goal is initially making 900ish. But im reading that the HD is limited to 950whp or so before it is maxxed?
For 1100 max what would be the best blower over a 2200HD? R? YSI?
Thanks

For 1100 you want a YSI or X.
That being said, people have made 1000 on a 1500. For those numbers though **** has to be perfect. Same for 1100 on a YSI. Setup better be maxed out and setup perfectly, or it won't happen.
If you want easy 1100, go for a f194a or f1x.

Thanks, I have a concern about the bigger blowers being “lazy” on the street. It’s a weekend car after all.
I guess there isn’t a perfect one size fit all answer.

They are not lazy at all. Are they ideal if you just want to make 600-750rwhp, nope. Smaller blower will be more efficient and work, but big blower is just fine.
Stock heads won't take that power for long anyways, put the money into the heads and a solid platform, then upgrade blower later. It is a 1 hour job to swap a blower later on, as opposed to swapping heads or motors because head failed.

D-1X is something to look into OP. 👍🏻 Could hit all your goals and not have any of the concerns your worried about with a big boi YSI/F series or 2200

F1D hits hardest down low and will make 1000.

Do you know the breakdown or specifics on the differences between the F1-D/C A I don’t really know much about those and why one might choose them over the 94. Seems like most people roll the the 94 or go full retard on the F-1X sounds like you may know what each is better for, I’m just curious that’s all

F1D is a D1SC on steroids. 5.40 step up with D1SC gear set. Ideal for a street car as it hits the hardest down low. It has been described as PD/TS type power delivery but won’t make as much peak power as an F1A. I’d love to replace my D1SC with one but they aren’t nearly as popular as the other units and never come up for sale. New they cost a fortune so I can’t justify spending the money lol.

I shouldve mentioned that I was hoping to keep my existing brackets and just do a direct swap with the 1500.

Or do nothing, keep the 1500, and enjoy it.
