tremec 6060 or zr1 trans on 1100rwhp car?
just broke the trans on my twin turbo 2007 z06
I have to choices to choose, put the regular 6060 or the zr1 trans.
I just the car for chilling and highway race.
so the zr1 has taller gear, but I have 1k torque so want to know if I can take advantage with that trans and high horsepower
any suggestion?
Thanks!!

What are you looking to spend? The zr1 trans is proven in 1000rwhp cars. Could always see if rpm transmissions has anything thats ready to go.

Due to the fact that all of the internals in the power handling department (shafts and gears) of the transmission are made from the same material (4615 steel) as well as the same size (15% thicker gears than what you had in your stock trans), I'm going to go out on a limb and say there is no significant difference between the Z06 and ZR1 transmission. Run-on sentence over.

zr1 trans is a 6060 and the 1st few gears are taller but the upper gears are shorter so it depends on what you want for gearing. Highway racing is probably 90% 3/4th gear so 4th is the same 1:1, look at the 3rd gear ratio and figure if it would be better.

Tony lets put a 6060 in it... It was only a matter of time though... It was still a stock trans when we built the car haha. Email me and we will get a quote together.

Also curious to how good the zr1 trans and diff is compared to a tr6060 z06 trans and diff

Basically just different gearing/ratios in the trans. As for the diff, it has some more ribbing and slightly stronger, but for most people the z06 diff case is fine, and sending it to RPM to get billet stubs/etc is needed. The weak spot isn't the case until extreme levels.

What do you suggest upgrading on the z06 drivetrain 800-900whp range

Tires, wheels, axles, diff with stubs, driveshaft, clutch, mounts, brace, hydraulics, billet slave support.

What are stubs?
my trans and diff is out I are these mods easy? Mines a 08z what axles should I go with c5z?
got solid trans mounts billet salve clutch so I’m needing stubs axles and and driveshaft hydraulics? Like the master slave ? The part atttached to clutch and the reservoir?

Axle stubs inside of the diff.
Axles depends if an early 08 or late, c5 only fit earlier cars. If you are a late model car, either keep them until they break or find some zr1 axles.
Yes, upgraded hydraulics. Black res master or tick, and whatever slave with billet support that the clutch needs.
If you do a guibo shaft, you will want to upgrade the guibos IMO. Or just do a solid shaft.
Order up an ECS trans/diff brace as well.
