ECS Stage 1 Fuel system.
Even though I monitor fuel pressure and don't get any significant drop even at full throttle, I have decided to add an ECS Stage 1 fuel system for safety reasons.
Right now I am running just a Z06 pump with a BAP, and I get a constant feeling that I am pushing things at 780 RWHP like that.
It always amazes me how Chris answers my emails almost right away and has patience for my questions. I think this system will give me the extra cushion I need and I absolutely don't want to drop the tanks. Its just too much work.
I should have the system next week and once its installed I will make a trip to the track and see what this thing can do..... assuming nothing breaks this time.

love the stage 1 system. i reccomend it to customers that want to lean on it a little when they are on stock motor and already do cam and full exhaust also. The stage 1 kit is a very easy install. Hardest part is using that damn little stick tool in the gas tank for the fuel plate you install in the tank. You will see what i mean when you get to that part lol. But install is still very simple and very clean!!

I run the ECS stage 1 system too. Works well in conjunction with my intank z06 pump. 044 are rock solid pumps.
As mentioned the tank mod is the hardest part. I ended up using different bolts then the supplied allen head cap screws on mine.
Have taken it to 750rwhp so far and will be turning it up soon. This is a car with no meth so I will see where the limit is.

Thanks guys. Considering that what I have now seems to be working ok, I have no doubt that the stage 1 system will be plenty for my needs, as well as make things that much safer.

I see yall are running in the mid 700-800 hp range, are yall on stock bottom end? just curious because I am running an ECS kit with novi 1500 and I made 640hp to the wheels on 8psi. I have read that 650ish hp is about as far as you want to push the stock bottom end ls2, any thoughts?

I think 650 with good tuning should live a decently long life.

cool thanks. what are you ETs and traps if you don't mind me asking. My PB so far is 10.9 @ 134 with 1.8/1.9 60 ft. I have ls2 with A6 transmission, stock converter, stock gears and stock suspension

Before I did my rebuild I ran 10.42 @ 133. That was LS2, stock converter, stock cam, 3.42 gears. It is on the fast list.
With the new build I will know soon. Haven't got it dialed in at the track yet.

We literally have hundreds of stock engine cars on the street over 700 rwhp, the failure rate is around 1%. And yes I find that hard to believe too, but it's the truth.

One other thing to remember guys is the location you live in. I am at sea level so correction factor is in the .98-1.02 area at most times. For guys at altitude you can make corrected power that sounds impressive because it is multiplied by. 1.15 or so but the actual fuel demands are less then what it would take to make that power at sea level for real. So just take dyno numbers with a grain of salt when it comes to fuel system sizing.

Good thing we are less then 20' above sea level here and those cars dip into the 9's too...
Although I have seen exactly what you are talking about in the C7 section, by a manufacturer too, those "in the know" like yourself know. It all comes out in the wash.

Being able to test your products at sea level is nice. If it gets the job done there it will be solid anywhere.

Finally got to installing the fuel system today. Nicely put together and a great option for guys like me who don't want to drop the tank. The install is fairly simple and straight forward.
A question for the experts. I notice that now with this extra pump my fuel pressure goes to about 72 lbs when under boost. Is the good and is it normal ?
Thanks
Some pictures of the install....
Tanks sanded smooth and marked...
Hole cut and some fuel draining...
Moving along....
Pump mounted. Kept the BAP since its already there....
Every fast car should have a "dual hobbs" setup.....

Jody, your ECS Stage 1 looks great. How large a hole is that in your tank? I assume from the picture that one of the Hobs is for the Boost-A-Pump and the other for the Stage 1 system, and that they are not tied together electrically, is that true? Where and how did you tie the new fuel line into your E-Force fuel rail? Thanks for the Pictures.
