this makes me want to save my money by buying just the obx ones. They don't look like they could be that bad and they "say" they are made here in the us and I'm sure they cant look worse than this...

The OBX?

They have to come from China I'm sure, with maybe 1 small part of the process happening in the US if someone is claiming 'made' in USA.

IMO they are great headers though. I'm sitting here wondering why I bought Kooks honestly. The OBX have lasted a long time and made good power and fit is pretty damn good. They also appear to be closer to 2" than 1.875".

Yes. They are not a horrible header and those welds honestly only mean that those welds are ugly. Its not like they will fall apart. lol I just dont put much stock in judging the headers by that. I believe the more expensive will make slightly more power (designed and tested) over the OBX but mostly likely a very small amount. If I was on a stirct budget OBX would be going on my car.

If guys on here would see the welds GM does on things they would surely sell their cars. lol

No, I had an oil pump issue that required a motor rebuild and I went with a new cam and some misc. stuff, so it won't be apples to apples.
