You offer some good information most of the time from what I've seen, so not trying to offend you. But others do too, we are all here just to help and learn. You seem to come off like "Build it like this." at times. Its the internet so I don't think your meaning it that way. So I was just giving you an outsiders opinion on what I've read lately is all.
Missed that part. My bad. Makes sense.

Not offended at all. Missed that post, got it, and understood.

Even if something is currently "working", there's nothing wrong with trying to improve upon it. I seem to recall you having several threads of no issues with coils, but replaced them anyway or similar situation for intercooler and something about a modified high ram? Nothing wrong with improving on what could be seen as working, it's how learning and innovation can come about.

Tuomas, selfishly looking forward to the new turbo build and how you lay it out. Are you going to keep exhaust all the way out the back like before?
Yep, still full exhaust, A/C, radio etc. "Street car" stuff. Last dyno pull was 1575hp at crank so think at wheel it's more like arround max 1400hp.
Last summer test pulls on airfield was with low boost, 1240hp at crank on 4/5/6th gears, lower hp level on 1/2/3rd gears with boost by gear. Car was very streetable and quater mile top speed was on airfield 154 mph with 19" Toyo R888's, soft launch and no glue. Can say normal street conditions.

Think will go to fuell cell in trunk for safety.
Any recommends of experiences of the different manufacturers?
Other question, does any shop offers manual steering rack for C6?
Thanks in advance!

Do you have space to hang it under the car (I can't remember if you do)? Like in the void where the mufflers would be on a factory car? If so, that would be where I would put it and then mount the fuel pump next to it. Then you could use a fuel access door like the moroso one in the link below and cut a hole in the floor pan to access the filler cap. That's what I did on my back halved 4th Gen camaro. That way, you could keep the fuel cell away from the drivers compartment without using a bulkhead.
Actually, come to think of it, I'm sure that you can build a much nicer access door that seals perfectly, etc.

ECS makes a manual rack for the C5's I'm pretty sure it fits the C6's. TRZ's is only for there front K member, but a lot more Drag race oriented. Mad Man might make one, but not sure. But I don't see how a fuel cell is any safer on a street driven car, and doing the one in the rear you have to make a barrier for keeping the fumes out of the cab of the car which could be just as much of a challenge not to mention the fill ups etc... GL!

Looks like hard work on getting that one just right.

Would it have helped to do something like this and go in front and to the side of the dash?

Do all those bends not reduce the strength of the bar? I thought some refs only allowed so many bends per bar?

Either way cracking work getting it tucked up out the way!

At least in FIA safety cage regulations only 1 bend is allowed in the vertical portions of the main tube and the A-pillar tubes.

This is a great idea! Lots of surface contact to weld..... stunning build and craftsmanship!
