Oh, and excellent craftsmanship on the build.

I am curious if you could not have done a smaller intercooler since the flow for the top 1/2 is going to be nill. Or does the extra aluminum soak up some heat and also helps slow down the flow compared to a smaller core that this is actually beneficial without full frontage air flow ???

Enjoy the build and I wish you many new tires needed in the future!
We have some good data from using air to air cores on cars with closed front ends (no air flow) that if you double the core size it almost works the same as having a normal size core with full airflow. So considering this car will still have air flow through a large portion of the core we think it will be fine. If we end up having IAT issues we will just cut up the support behind the intercooler and box it in as appropriate.

Should be getting the hot parts back from coating soon.

Well no new pictures but this week we ordered 17" rear wheels (replicas of the base model fronts), M&H 275/50/17 drag radials, G-Force II boost controller, AEM meth kit, AEM failsafe wideband, the AEM meth failsafe and the MSD 2 step. This pretty much completes all of the last bit of stuff we needed to order. I also booked my flight from Japan to the US for the first week in October for the subsequent tuning session and the last test/tune of the year is Oct 11th so hopefully it doesn't rain and I can get a smidge of seat time on low boost.

Hot parts are back, I'm pretty dang happy with how they turned out. Getting close should be tuning in 2.5 weeks.

Had some questions about how the downpipe fit together and it's a slip fit style with vband on both ends. Here is a picture to help explain. I don't think I posted this earlier.

Today we finished up all the clutch hydraulics, fuel rails/return line setup, racetronix harness and buttoned up most of the coolant system. Tomorrow we are going to fill all the fluids and start on the electronics so we should be able to start it. Thursday finish up the axleback, catch tank and coolant overflow then tuning on Friday. Hopefully we get it all done and everything works out perfect (LOL) cause there is a test/tune (last one of the year) on Saturday. Here is where we sit so far.

Thanks guys, I think we'll probably see about 650 on pump and meth tune, and wherever it seems happy on race gas, maybe 800ish...still stock motor so don't want to push it too hard.

Yeah, just 800... out of a street driven car, on the stock GM bottom end

How jaded has the corvette community become that 800ish is not pushing it too hard? haha, I love it

Having a lot of issues with the fuel tanks and the transfer pump/lingenfelter blockoffs....had the tanks out a few times and now maybe tomorrow we will give it one last shot before I just trash it all and build my own standalone system.

Pornfab. Love it, man.

Roughly what would the setup be capable of on a built bottom?

What issues are you having? Fuel not transferring or no fuel pressure or what?

make sure you have the 2 different lingenfelter fittings and they're on the correct sides. You want to block the driver side/fuel pump side and you want to bypass the passenger/siphon side.

Make sure the cross over tube has the black and yellow o-rings (i think those were the colors)

they can fall out of the plastic tube ends when you disconnect/move them around.

Clutch is a older Textralia twin which is probably only good for 800whp, Fuel setup is probably maxed around 1000ish, and Turbo kit maxed in the 1200range. Over the course of the next year or two I will slowly build the rest of the car to be up around the same level. I'm pretty much tapped out on effort and cash so I just want to enjoy it some before it all goes back down.

It was all transferring from the driver's side to the passenger side with no pressure at the fuel rails, but we figured it out this morning.

So it looks like we forgot the orings on the blockoffs so fuel was shooting out of there then the second time we put it back together the fuel was leaking out of one of the plastic crossover tubes so no pressure was going to the rails. Got it all figured out earlier this morning then finished buttoning up all the wiring/meth kit/boost controller and a few other odds and ends. Finished that all up around 8pm or so did the first start and it started right up but it throws a bunch of codes for ABS, Traction Control, Active Handling, and max 55mph speed, and also as soon as it goes into any kind of boost it will go into limp mode/reduced engine power and will barely run. I think we missed something in the speed density cal cause we are tired and just need to hit it up fresh again on Monday.
