Those Kooks green cats are expensive. No wonder they call them “green”.
My 2” Kooks and ORX just arrived by air freight. Literally, just now, my people inside of customs just sent me a photo of the boxes being offloaded. That’s the benefit of living on a small rock I guess.
BTW: I’ll have a set of Pfadt headers I could send for you to test, but they would definitely have a leak or two after your friend in US Customs takes his drill to them too.
I’m sure they’d arrive with plenty of extra ventilation holes

I think you’re right though, probably a small leak and somehow those gases were making it into the cabin. Sucks. Wish I had a tool of some sort to help pinpoint where the gases were coming from. There’s gotta be an exhaust sniffer of some sort.

I just hit 200K miles in mine yesterday. GM doesn’t do everything right but they sure seem to know how to build an engine that’s simple and lasts.

Any ideas on making something to hold down my MAP sensor? Keeps popping out lately.. not exactly ideal. The tab is worn out on the intake so it doesn't hold very well anymore

Could make a bracket of some sort out of some thin metal but not sure how to attach it. Just screw it on to the intake beside where the MAP goes?

Those things are the best things ever.
If those don’t work, you could also hit Jody up for some of that indestructible Canadian green duct tape that he uses...

You guys don't get too jealous now.. I just picked up a new daily driver since I've been driving like 60 miles each way for work lately. 15mpg on 93 in the Escalade wasn't exactly cutting it gas budget wise.

2012 Honda Civic

35+ mpg, woohoo

I haven't made it to eBay to look for a super high quality turbo kit yet, maybe this weekend

VTECCCC

(I'm keeping the Corvette, might get rid of the Escalade though, don't really need it)

So, I guess this means you can go whole hog on the Vette now, since you have the ricer DD?

I'm still regretting not buying dude_man's rear mount TT kit when he sold it, I could have gotten it for a steal and it worked awesome--though my stock bottom end is probably thanking me for it

Honestly there's nothing left I want to really do to the Corvette power wise other than getting long tubes back on it eventually if I can figure out the smell situation. May do Holley fuel rails still just because I like how they look, and I need to clean the car up a lot since it's been sitting outside for years.. but just not interested in dumping any big money into it.. it's a fun car how it is and has been extremely reliable so I'm going to try to keep it that way

Or I could add nitrous

Could.. but I used some wire ties on the MAP sensor and got it to stay in place, so probably just going to leave it like that for now

Can't believe it's been over 4 years since this thread was started!

Hope everyone is doing well. Haven't really had the time to do much to the car, not that there's much left I want to do

I've been mostly using the extra money to travel lately instead of car parts. 14 trips this year I think it's worked out to? 1 more planned.. Costa Rica. Hopefully it isn't a total **** hole.

Anyways--hope everyone has a good Holiday if I don't remember to reach out before then.

Hey bud. Glad to hear that you’re travelling the world.
I don’t think you have much left that you could do to that poor car, as this thread has well documented!
Hope that you have a good Holiday season too. I gather that you guys are getting some snow in NC. I have a friend (from Cayman) who just moved there from Florida to NC and he’s cursing himself right now!
