Good to know. Not bad though. If you consider the adjust-ability you're getting in return.

Don't you get spring rate and better height adjustability as well with these?

Spring rate if your willing to buy extra springs. No more usable ride height than stock bolts.

They can’t adjust ride height any lower than the stock bolts screwed all the way in? Not that I care much about that. I don’t want a ground scraper that runs aground on speed bumps...
How do they feel on the road? Any different to the stock Z06 springs?

Can you? Yes. The instructions are also very clear that you need to set them to have enough travel and have both up and down stroke and if not will damage the shocks. So can you slam the car? Yes. Is it against tge instructions, bad for performance and will damage the shocks, also yes.

Thanks. I get it. I have spent quite a few hours under my race car changing springs and adjusting corner weights and twisting the ***** on the QA-1 DA coilovers, so I’m aware of that issue.
The same limitation applies to stock shocks as well, obviously. I’ve always wondered how folks get away with using “lowering bolts” and then screwing the adjusters all the way in to stop, without the shocks bottoming out on the slightest bump?
What I was trying to ask was, when adjusted into the specified range of travel, does the car sit lower than stock height? Because that’s what the writeup on the C6 specific QA-1 coilovers says, that the car will sit 1 inch lower. I’m just wondering, because I don’t want my car to be any lower than it is now.
BTW, which C/O kit did you go with: PT, DH, DL, SR, etc.? And how do they ride on the street?

Whatever joe ordered for me. Ive driven his 1200+rwhp c5 with them on street and they drive great. My car is waiting on intake manifold so all i can say is all the other vettes with them drive great. No idea yet on lowering part. It does look like they are similar to thr qa1 with ideal shock range being a 1" drop or so.

Unreal, you test those coilovers out yet?
After seeing pictures of your install and looking at all of the other D/A coilovers out there, I think these are by far the best bang for the buck. So, I’m ordering a set next week. Just need to figure out which spring rate I need and what valving to go with. Found a dealer in Tampa who’s going to contact Viking on Tuesday.
There’s a lot more to these than meets the eye. The valving is different, depending on your application, as are the spring rates.
BTW: according to the Application Guide (below) it looks like all of the C6 Coilovers are adjustable from factory ride height to 2” lower. That’s also good to know.

For those of you that may be looking into getting a set of Viking shocks or coilovers, I wanted to share this. Here’s what I received today from the vendor in Tampa that I’m sourcing the Viking coilovers through. Viking now offers coilovers and shocks for two different ride height ranges, as per below:

Just got a set of coilovers from Cordes, great to deal with! Waiting on non-freezing temps to install.

Sounds like Cordes is a really great set of people to deal with.
If Unreal likes them, they must be good...
I just wish I was a little closer to them.
I just ordered a full set of the DH series double adjustable coilovers in the stock to -1.6” ride height with 500# springs. I used a friend of mine in Tampa and he got me a great deal too, $1450 for the whole set.

Is this normal to drop in ride height with the Viking shocks?

If you order the wrong ones or wrong springs, but I'm at or above stock ride height. Got only 50 miles on them so far, but so far so good.
