I need to give this some consideration and will get back with you shortly on that. I'm not sure how to properly verify military service considering it's illegal to photocopy a military ID.
Thank you for your service!
I did, just not beyond the one offered to all CF members.

You could request an email from a military email account but don't feel pressured. I'm sure the markup is already pretty low and they seem to be a great deal already. I just wanted to ask the question and offering all CF members the same pricing is a perfectly acceptable answer.
Red9R, you're right. Not a lot of markup, but I'm certainly interested in honoring our country's service members. For a limited time, on a trial basis here, I'm willing to offer an additional 3% off. I hope it's not too insulting, but it's what I'm able to do.

Considering getting one of these in the near future. My 2011 is stock under the hood. Is there any reason to go with a 240amp for a stock setup or is that for cars with extra electronics or racing applications. Just curious.

Are these alternators harder on belts? I'm running an A&A secondary drive like one of the pictures which runs off a 4 rib belt jack shaft. Considering that this alternator puts out 240 amps how much tougher is it for the belt to spin compared to stock? Or not at all.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have the 170 amp alternator on my car that has the A&A Secondary drive. No belt issues. I have belt slip issues when using the AC on but voltage holds steady at 14.5 volts. I use my car for drag racing and always log the bat voltage with no issues with voltage drop.
Bigger is not always better. The 170 amp puts out more amps at lower rpm than the higher amp versions.

Ahh! That's what I need so essentially you might have a bit of belt slip but the alternator is strong enough that it doesn't show the ill effects
Are you running a C5 AC bracket or regular C6? The C5 has the extra idler.

Also running the 170 amp with flip drive. I haven't been to the track yet but no voltage drop at all on the dyno. That alternator puts out 140 amps at 800 rpm so even with a little slip the voltage should hold fine.
