I'm using GM Alternator 25888970 in my swap which is a C6 alternator with 110 amps (I think). Blownblue if this is correct I would like to order a black 170 amp C6 Mechman (I do not want the one wire version). Question, will the 240 version be ok for the weekly dragstrip runs or should I stick with the 170? I don't have AC but I am running Meth injection, bigger injectors, dual fuel pumps, dual fans, Dikota Digital instruments, assortment of other gauges (AFR, Boost) 4l80e Trans, Procharger and approx 1500 watt stereo.

So I'm in France and need a 170 amp for my C6 2005 BVA 4 , could you get in black ? What shoud be the cost including delivery and custom tax included like that won't have to pay so much to french custom ?

for the Polished 170, it's 615.94 shipped to your door. Add 99 for the bypass cable and if you get both of those, I'll throw in a pair of polished stainless allen bolts. Add 25.00 and come by my shop and I'll install the bypass cable and alternator for you.

I’m also overseas, so I would need a quote for FedEx or UPS shipment, if that’s possible. I tried sending a PM earlier, but I’m not sure if it went through, because I don’t see it in my PM outbox.

My 99's alternator went out, or I at least think so. After reading this thread, I will have to get the starter's wires looked at as my 99 is supercharged and has long tube headers and from what what I've read on this thread is that combination can cook those wires and give the impression of a bad alternator? Currently, I have 12.5 volts at the battery and when I start the C5, the voltage actually drops a little, hence, why I think I need an alternator.
Anyhow, are these alternators still available? I'm thinking of getting the chrome 240 amp for my 2002 and then take it's stock alternator and putting it in my 99. My 2002 has a massive stereo upgrade along with MANY light upgrades.
