I put the liner on and trace it with a marker. Then take it off and cut inside the line.

Hey Black07c6z, did you have any issues with your Vent being cut at the 11' mark? did you notice any bad rubbing or pressing on your intake tube?

No issues with halltech intake. It's a close fit though.

I still have to double and triple check underneath clearance, at first glance it looks fine. I really like the look, now, to get up the nads to take my cutting wheel to the hood (after I measure and measure and measure, and measure again.....

Loving the orange brother. I like those mustang vents too. I think it would look good with the camaro scoop in middle too. Just my .02

Dropped $1K on a SV3 Lingenfelter hood, but still like this idea. So my parts guy came through and I got both the vent and the deflector for $150. Since my hood has to be prepped and primed and painted, I figured this was the best time to do it. Still trying to find the best spot. I want to go as low as I can. I may need to trim the deflector/drip tray to get it flush against the hood.

Ahhh, to cut or not to cut? That is the question.

Ive got plenty of clearance.

Went with a trustend name "Lingenfelter" what an awesome experience I had there at the shop. Once I get the lowest location, ill make the cuts. Hopefully the body shop can blend the scoop in and make it look seamless.

Check out my hood fit install thread..awesome hood and an OEM fit.

I have the underdray and vent. Just seeing how I can get both to clear when the hood is shut. I'm gonna use the stock hood, so I might have some underhood vent trimming to attend to in order to get mine to work properly...

Or bend some metal and make a low profile tray. Its a good look on top, but once you pop the hood, its like oh damn, and I cant have that. I dont know if the tray will fit stock. I stashed my phone and took video when I closed it and its a close fit without the tray. I dont think it will work. My new hood has enough room to make it work though.

How many inches did you left from top of the hood to the top of the scoop?

Thought it was pretty neat that I spotted this mod in the wild at the HPD 1000+ RWHP Dyno meet at KP Racing a few weeks ago.
