Default Another S/C Question. 2010 LS3 Grand Sport M6

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a blower setup. I had a 2012 Mustang with a magnuson that put down 550/475 before I bought this vette.

Id like to be in the 550-600 whp mark after install/tune. I have plenty of people telling me to go the A&A route, while many others are pushing me to the Edelbrock setup. I dont mind going either way, but from what I've been reading and searching on here, the edelbrock 599 kit doesn't get me where I want as far as WHP. My car is mostly stock, and I dont plan on doing a cam/meth/headers installations any time soon.

So can some people that have these setups please chime in on power levels on an otherwise stock LS3 dry sump? I'd love to see some dyno graphs before/after with either the A&A or the Edelbrock.

ECS is another option that will def. get you there.

I did ECS on an otherwise stock LS3 dry sump at the time. Only modification was headers on top of the kit. I never put the car on a dynojet (so I'm sure I could see higher numbers that way).

Mustang dyno: 574 RWHP / 532 RWTQ
...added methanol and 1/2psi more boost: 640 RWHP / 588 RWTQ

If you want power, don't go Edelbrock. There's better PD blowers out there if that's your fancy.

I prefer the centrifugal setup.

EDIT: here ya go

Both base centri kits from either company will put you in your power goals with no other mods.

Our standard HO system will get you there,
550-600rwhp normal pump fuel, no meth.

Comes with tune ready to load and go.
Install can be done in your garage.

Contact sales@procharger.com or 913-338-2886
So that we can get you some info out to you, or get you intouch with an installer.

Thanks!

2013 GS with LS7 exhaust manifolds and A&A kit: 600RWHP

Honestly either A&A or ECS will get you where you want to be, my advise would be to see what installers there are for them close by (unless you are going to do it yourself), and let that be the deciding factor.

If you want PD (positive displacement) blower, don't do Edelbrock, do the Magnuson Heartbeat.

Evan,

Do you have a graph overlaying the stock output? I would like to see the lower RPM gains over stock with a centri setup. I'm pretty sold on an A&A kit but I have a guy with an edelbrock going back to stock near me. So I'm up in the air.

This was pre vs post, but keep in mind the post was on the 6th pull on a 100+ degree day with like 99% humidity. Gives you a good comparison of where the gains are, just doesn't show what the "true" after was.

You can see the timing being pulled on blower curve at about 4500 and again at about 5700.

Curious who tuned it? AFR is all over the place.

Quality Motorsports in Dallas (Lewisville), TX. Yeah, the A/F probably needs a second look, but the car runs so well as is that I haven't bothered with it. I've been thinking about adding meth, so would retune when I do that.

Yes.
You think it runs well. Are you logging it to see if there's detonation? I would definetly steer far away from them. Can't believe a tuner would even give you the car back with the AFR like that.

I've got a DashLogic, and am displaying knock retard on my HUD. Don't see any in normal driving. I occasionally get a little bit on 95+ degree days if I've been hammering on it repeatedly.

I've been very tempted to pick up a copy of HP Tuners and take a look at the tune myself. I used to do my own tuning on my LT1 f-body in the late 90s, but I'd have to spend some time refreshing/relearning before I'd feel comfortable changing anything. Might also get in touch with BlownblueZ06 since he's local and have him take a look at the tune.

Yeah, I'd def let Brett tune it or look at it.
