Default Best Intake Manifold (for blown vettes)

Hello all.

With so many people buying centrifugal blower kits for their Corvettes (ECS, A&A, Procharger), it would be nice to know what our best options are.

I hear Wilson makes one at a reasonable price, so does LME for a lot more. But I'm not that familiar with them, and I'm sure there are plenty of other out there that I haven't even heard of.

I'm trying to decide on which one to purchase for my C6Z that has an ECS blown 427 with single nozzle Akly Control meth injection kit.

Any suggestions?????????

Most people just stick with the stock intake unless you're going with a *****-to-the-wall build.

Sinistter made 1600rwhp with. A stock LS7 manifold. You'd be wise to spend your money elsewhere. Your stock motor will limit you long before your intake mani will

Can't remember where I saw it, but I'm sure I've seen someone post nearly 100whp results from swapping to a Holly Hi-Ram from LS7 intake on a 1000whp car. Obviously you're going full race car status at that point considering the hood clearance, and I'm not sure if those super high dollar sheet metal intakes that fit under the hood will pick up as much. I'd be interested to see MSD results on a high power S/C car.

Stock unless you are going for 1300+.

Then PMC, LME, wilson. They are all $2800+ so "reasonable" is up to you. LME is like $4500. PMC is most cost friendly but still almost $3k.

And if cutting the cowl and a huge hood or cutting hood is fine, go for it. It does make some power, but unless you are going for 1300+ I don't see the point.

i say stock for sure, I think there are guys that have even gone 8's on stock LS6 intake manifolds. that being said, i am interested to see what the new MSD intake would do on your standard 650-750whp blown c6

Go to Jegs or Summit and on their website it says that the MSD Air Force plastic intake manifold picks up 30-35 hp and 16 tq over the stock intake manifold. Not sure if I believe that, but tuners have told me that it is a little better than a FAST 102 for about $75 more.
I don't know how durable they are though. Haven't asked or heard anything regarding that about the Air Force intake.

Is the PMC worth the $2,800 on a 15 PSI 800 hp to the wheels C6Z?

How much can I expect to pick up?

Will it clear my stock ZO6 hood, and will there be any figment issues I'll have to make adjustments for?

I think you once mentioned you had a FAST break up on you at only 12 PSI. What exact FAST model was that? What motor was it on and what size was the FAST intake manifold?

Ls7 fast 102. Almost seen ls3 fast 102s blow apart.

No, PMC is not even close to worth it on a 800rwhp. My car makes 1200rwhp on a bone stock untouched TB and intake. When you get to that level start thinking of intakes when everything is maxed out. There is so much more you can do for FAR less money to get more power from the 800hp range.

Here is a great thread on the performance of various intakes. This was done NA but this should only give indication of performance with boost also:
