Default Tail Q bov

Does anybody have any idle issues after installing the Tail Q on there supercharger set up? I have the bov mounted on the intercooler and it surges at idle and while cruising. My engine vacuum reads 7 and I have the 8psi spring in it. Don't know if I need a smaller spring.

Pretty sure I read that for a supercharger they use a 2 psi spring. Your check if your valve is open or closed at idle or part throttle. It should be open if not under boost.

Yeah I just saw something about that and will be ordering the green spring and the valve is open at idle.

Yes... agree with everyone else

The valve should be OPEN when under vacuum. i.e. idle and cruise. It will CLOSE when you get up to about -2 psi in the "boost" scale.

Kind of backwards from the way a blow off valve works for a turbo setup. I usually call a supercharger one a bypass valve instead of a blow off valve.

I mount all of my BOVs PRE intercooler. It helps dampen the erratic flow that will cause driveability issues when its open. There is a lot of turbulence in that area, and the further from the MAF the better.

And yes, youll need the 2psi spring. The valve needs to be OPEN most of the time. They should close around 85kpa~ (100kpa being zero vac/zero boost)
