How can I Reduce Turbo Noise?
Unlike most people, I don't like the sound of turbos. I prefer to hear my cam and motor in general.
I have a C6 ZO6 with a 434 cubic inch LS based all aluminum engine, TTIX twin turbo kit with 6265 turbos, stock LS7 exhaust, PRC 265 heads, PMC billet/sheet metal intake manifold, dual nozzle meth injection, E85.
Is there anything I can do to minimize the sound of the turbos like get louder mufflers such as B&B Fusion Extreme in order to increase the sounds of the cam or motor, or will that also increase the sound of the turbos?
I remember Gus from Lethal Performance mentioning something about having the wastegates dump back into the exhaust instead of into the atmosphere. -Does this make sense?

The more complex the intake (filters) of the turbo and the exhaust (mufflers) the quieter the turbos will be. So running straight pipes would be the loudest turbo noise possible. A mix would be a louder exhaust, but still keeping the mufflers in the loop. Like a flowmaster 40 series, although they sound horrible on an LS IMO.

Im sure you are talking about the sound WOT! If your wastegates are external, then when you hit full boost the scream out exhaust gasses directy! What you want is to reroute them in the exhaust. So now exhaust will soak up all the noise. Only thing left is the spool up sounds!!! But if you ask me, a turbo vette no longer sounds like a vette should! Turbos intercepting the exhaust stream change the sound of any exhaust radically! If yo want a nice V8 sounds its a combination of H/C LT's and a blower!

Little late to start questioning this now haha!!
All the parts have been paid for and arrived. Just waiting for a lift to open at my tuner's shop. Everything will start getting installed the 1st or 2nd week in Jan. So it's going down regardless of how it ends up sounding lol!

Routing the WG back to exhaust will further limit power of the kit. Better to leave them open.

When I had a blower (ECS kit), I opted for the "quiet" blow off valve. Is there anything like this I can purchase at an extra cost? Maybe a quiet blow off valve or something?

Recirculate it. But if a beefy sounding car is what you wanted and wanted 1000whp you should've built it high compression with a solid roller cam and 400hp of nitrous. Easy 1000whp car. Would've been louder then a space ship. Would've been like the Daytona 500 every time you started the car.

Hate to say it, but it does sound like you're building the wrong car. Noise aside, I think trying to build a daily driver at this level is probably a mistake.

Was the ECS kit quiet with the quieter of the two valves? I ordered the ECS with the quieter blow off valve. I would love to hear the turbos spool, it was the favorite part of my Grand National.

If I'm reading the post correctly, this a build in progress so the concern is hypothetical? Am I correct original poster that your concern is from the videos of other turbo vettes?
