Default New TTIX build and questions

I Just found a used ttix kit here in sweden for steal price. The kit has the uppgraded Precision turbos but 2,5 dp.

The car 2005 m6 convertible (still in the port in CA) waiting on my GS kit and forgline wheels.

My goal is 900 rwhp on E85 (Last c6 i had was an ECS 1500 car whit 780 rwhp loved that car but i always wantet to test a turbo car.)

My plan is to forge the ls2. Should i stay around a cr at 10:1 and is stock cube ok?

Do i have to uppgrade to 3" dp? or is the 2,5" enough whit the precision?

If e85 you could go higher compression wise than that IMO

I agree. With E85 you can safely go up to about 10.2:1-10.4:1 cr.
The 3 inch dp upgrade is well worth it because it not only increases your peak power, but also increases the powerband the power is made. That's why I did it.

ok then i think i will bump up the cr a little.

does anyone know what the hp limit are on 2,5" dp?

do i get a big gain if im going up in cdi from stock to like 402? is 402 a better fit to the 6265 turbos?

370-390 cubic is the best for 6265s, which is right between what you already have in the Ls2 and whT you're considering in the 402. Won't make a very big difference. The bigger difference wil be upgrading from 2.5 inch downpipes to the 3 inch downpipes.

You should be able to make 900 rwhp on E85 with a stock cubed forged ls2 and the TTiX kit.

With your goal of 900rw, adding additional cubic inches isn't required.

A compression ratio of 10:1 should work out well depending on your cam selection. You didn't mention if you were going with a flex fuel system and if you plan to run E85 all the time. If you think you may use 93 octane, I would possibly stay around a 10:1 compression ratio.

You don't have to upgrade to the 3" downpipe to hit your 900rw target. However, the 2.5" dp seems to be a limiting factor at power levels above ~900rwhp.

My stock LS1 made ~830rw with the base turbos and a 220/224 cam. Are wanting to order a cam locally or from the US?

We made 1000 with small turbos, 2.5" dp and a 347 A4. I run the bigger turbos now and they don't have to work as hard. We run the Comp Cams LSR Turbo 54-480-11 and it works good. They make 2 of them. If I was doing it over I would get the bigger one 54-481-11 for more chop.

I have been collecting some parts and so far.
3" dp from Champion Motors
ID2000 injectors
Dewitts radiator
Card style maf and 2.5 bar map sensor for e40
Z06 exhaust that i did the muffler mod to.

But does some one have the ttix manual for c6? I dont know if it says anything in that but does somebody know if i have to modify the ac pump/lines on a 2005? I did read some where that a few had to do this?

And does any one have a template for how mutch i need to trim the motor mount? It seams like its a pita to do it whit the engien in the car...

I gave the instructions away when I sold my kit. But yes, the '05 AC line will not work. You have to get the later model AC line. I think I got mine on Amazon pretty cheap. Even then it's not run squeezing the intake pipe and coupler behind the AC compressor. I relieved the line at the compressor:

There is no template in the instructions for how much to trim the motor mount. This may give you an idea (although the compressor is clocked wrong). And that was a bit tight, you'll want to remove more.

Also be prepared to relieve the cradle and even dent the frame where the turbo tucks in. I used a c-clamp with a block of wood on the outside of the frame to accomplish that.

I have the manual to a c5 and on c5 you tap the cover over the oil filter, is that the way to do on c6 also? or do you get it from the plug in front of the motor "behind/under" the altenator??
