I ordered some 92 racestars 17x4.5 and 17x9.5, going to swap over my current MT s/s to the rears and have 185 55 17 MH DR up front. I still wanna drive to the track. See if it does a difference.

I got polished instead of darkstars because theyre cheaper lol should look like this

Well i went back tonight with only the skinnies up front and got a best of 10.61 @133mph. So i gained a couple of mph and a tenth off. Feels like theres more in it to get my 60ft a tad lower i can maybe get a 10.5?

My mph was ranging from 130-133mph, im guessing im shifting at different rpms. I have my tires at 17psi.

Think im going to try hoosier slicks when i get the rear wheels in and see how low of a 10 i can get at this power level.

Then it'll be cam time and pulley down one last time. Hope for the best with the stock block

Edit: ok scratch that im not putting a 28 slick on my 17s lol. Ill try the hoosier 275/40/17 next and just change them at the track.

How much power are you making? I have a 3.6 currently, and will be going to a 3.4 with a blower cam as my next mods.

I got a 10.54@134 with a 1.65 60ft and no skinnies. Your 1/8 mile trap speed was slightly higher than on my pass. So I think that your engine temps if they are around 212* by the trap, then the ECM could be pulling timing. That's if the spark settings are stock for ECT timing retard. I know that's one of the issues I'm working with and about to put a dual fan and just installed a mechman alternator and new battery.

2 weeks ago I ran 10.38@133 w 1.54 60ft and still no skinnies. I know that the ECM pulled timing because it was about 225* by the trap. Another thing to check is belt slip. I was experiencing that as well and it even jumped a groove at the sc pulley. I tightened the tensioner some more and speed went up.

Last night I opened the restrictor a little bit which should give me 1 psi according to my calculations. I was seeing 9-10psi so I would like to see 10-11 instead. With the dual fans set up, skinnies and 1 extra psi I think I'll see low low 10s.

You should do the cam and the smaller pulley. But I can see you running 10.50s like it is or even lower If you drop the 60ft in the 1.50s. I watched your videos and you're doing great at driving. It looks and sounds like you're short shifting a little bit though.

My coolant temps are usually pretty good, but never looked at the end of my run ill take a look thanks

Its really hot over here now, and i prolly wont make it back out to the track for a couple months. When i go when i feel its cool enough its already 30min to close lol.

I really like my skinnies, i can drive to the track on them and i dont even feel like they are on.
