Can't get any traction!
Cars setup currently on a 17" setup with a M&H race master, made a little under 800 to the wheel on a mustang dyno. From 40 at 20psi (hot) I cannot get any traction with brand new tires. Don't know what to do, didn't think I would need a 15" setup with this power level? What are you guys doing?

Are your saying your spinning at 80mph, as in your in third gear and your hit it and it's spinning. Now if your talking about doing a dig run and just blasting through first and second then put it in third at 80 and its hooking than I could see that. Ran the same setup at 930 and it hooked all of third. On blower I was almost hooking 2nd at 855. Try around 18psi and clean them off alittle before you go run.

maybe everyone here is running lower psi with more heat? not sure how much experience you have with M&H and drag radials so maybe redundant but both my MT ET street R and even my 19" nt05r were transformed when aired down and got them nice and hot. Cold at 27psi I can spin the nt05r in 4th sometimes without even trying, hot and at 20psi they generally will even hook up 3rd pretty well.

was at 870whp and now at 907whp. The Nt05r has to be very warm and aired down a lot to have any hope of hooking up 3rd for me. Even when everything is perfect it still hazes them just a touch through 3rd. It is a dramatic change from normal 26psi and street temps though, zero chance of hooking any part of third in normal street driving.

Melting Slicks
345/35/18 MT here and can only put power down in third and that's on a hot day and concrete road. About 22psi hot is where I have them.
Only other alternative is a 15" tire setup.
What's your rear camber set to? Try zero camber and toe in the rear and see if that helps.

I'm with slopoc on this one, I'd say air the tires down to 17psi and get them super hot and then see if that makes a difference. Literally 1-2 psi less air on both the nt05r and ET street R made a noticeable difference in traction.
