LG Drag spindles
Hey guys I see LG used to do group buys on Drag spindles. Who would be interested in doing another group buy if we can get them to agree to one. maybe 15 or 20 guys would get there attention. I see they used to do it for $899. Im in it for that price if anyone else is for sure.

And they were very clear that was a 1 time only price.

Yup they did that apparently to stop the guy who was going to be making them for "cheaper". Theres another company that will be making them but you will need upgraded brakes and rotors that will be available with the kit. Its a few hundred dollars more than LG sells their spindles.

I'm amazed nobody with a cnc machine out there can mock them up and make them cheaper. if they were $700 or cheaper I'd get them for sure.
i understand production volumes are small but that $1300 price or whatever seems excessive.

But then how would you have a corvette tax!? Other brands make spindle kits that are billet for that price, so it can easily be done. Another reason why I'm going solid axle, after buying spindles and dss axles you're at almost 4k

I'm aware you prob won't get that price anymore but it be nice to see a group buy of this product to come up again.. I was quoted $1700 from LG with shipping which is quite substantial considering two years ago they offered the same spindles for $899. I'm just wondering what had made them go up in price by $800 in two years?

Listen man. I'm not trying to be a keyboard commando as you call it but most of these guys who have replied to me are good guys and helped me along the way with my build... When you talk to someone for the first time on here it isn't the best idea to start off your conversation by trying to insult there intelligence... You don't need to save me a couple grand for any courses by the way. If your interested in getting in on a group buy that's great. Hopefully we can get enough people interested.

It was a simple joke... You clearly didn't get it. If you get hat offended the Internet might not be for you, especially this forum
And they said multiple times they will never do a group buy discount like that again. You're not the first or last to try

[QUOTE=Dude_man;1593069874]To each their own I guess. I just wouldn't start off a conversation with anyone for the first time like that. But it's all good that's why I asked him after if he was interested in some spindles... Not a big deal. If they don't don't do it anymore then so be it. Just figured I'd ask the question is all.

Good luck with your buy. Just a side note time on a forum doesn't equal increased knowledge.

[QUOTE=SlowBusa08;1593069972]Thanks for your insight. Duly noted. I wasn't aware they don't do this anymore.... But now I know... That's the whole point of these forums anyway I guess. Thanks again. Sorry if we got off on the wrong foot bud. I guess I didn't understand your joke or I took it the wrong way. Cheers.

I'm really not a fan of people coming in an knocking off or copying products invented by other companies but the pricing here seems pretty crazy from LG, I would be surprised if someone with a cnc and some cad tools wouldn't be interested in mocking these up if there was demand for 10+ of them ahead of time. 10 of these at $800 would be $8k which seems like would be worth the maybe 1-2 days of work to get the cad right (lot of 3d scanning tools out now that makes this maybe 2 hours of work) and machine these out.
