Default Alky control settings 1-8 on control **** ?

What is the average setting for regular driving, while I am not beating the **** out of it getting into boost all the time ? I just happened to look under the drivers side dash and saw the control switch with a dial going from 1 to 8, did not even know it was there . What number are you guys setting it at for average driving , I'm assuming around 4 . I don't want to be dumping meth into the system every time it barely gets into boost .

I keep my at 8, but it depends on what your car is tuned for. There are also "Turn On" and "Initial" control settings inside the PAC that control when (what psi) and how much meth is initially flowing. Blue gain **** on outsidie of controller controls the ramp up rate of the meth.

Is that " turn on " setting a push button by any chance ? I think I saw a button that you push in or out, but it was not labeled. So that just turns the Alky systemeither on or completely off ?? . Thanks,as I mentioned the controller was hidden under the dash by the OBD port, I did not even know it had it until I looked underneathe for a spot to install my Caspers fan control switch. Appreciate the help/advice..Will try and take a pic and post it later on

The push button is a test button to make sure the system is working. The other two controls Imentioned are inside of the PAC and come with a default factory setting that should be set prior to receiving the kit. The gain **** (1-8 settings) allows you to turn off the meth system.

Inside of PAC module (not the same module with the 1-8 settings).

So the push button does what , runs the pump to check it ? What exactly am I looking for the system to do when I press the test button- certain sound , blinking lights ??? And how do you know it is operating properly ?? Did not get a manual for anything ( Blower, Alky control ) when I picked up the car.

Push the button and the LED light (A-pillar?) should turn red and the car should stumble a bit. Be careful not to hold button too long or the car will stall.

I run mine on 8, but you really should leave it wherever it has been set and tuned at.

The test button just purges the lines and make sure the pump works. Usually three seconds and you’ll notice the engine stumbles. You’re good to go after that.

Mine is also all the way up, but as everyone has said that’s all depending on your tune and what meth is doing for you, I have the dual nozzle and am all the way up because I’m still on pump 93, not even spraying till high RPMS, around 7/8psi I make 10.

I have not touched my Alky Control Box since my tuner set it. It would be nice, however, to understand the settings. I never received any sort of instructions from the manufacturer (Julio?). Does anyone have a link or a hard copy you could scan and post?

i do somewhere, but I bet it is easier to get an electronic copy from Julio himself. Alkycontrol.com

Inside the box there are two *****. Initial and ramp. Initial is turn on psi. Ramp is how fast it goes from a trickle to full flow.

Appreciate the responses, if someone has the user manual please post if you can. Unfortunately I did NOT know the Alky Control switch was under the dash and put my hand under there and felt a **** and turned it not realizing, so I do not know what it was set at for the tune. Probably going to set it at 6-7 or so. Don't want this dumping meth into the system even if I am barely getting into boost as I hear it can degrade the engine oil. Running RP HPS at over $100 an oil change, so it ain't cheap, lol

Anyone noticing increased oil contamination/breakdown running their Alky setting all the way up to 8 ?
