Prometh Stage 2 Trunk Mount Meth Kit
Has anyone bought and installed one of these? It is my understanding that this company bought out AIS. I am planning out my SC build and like the Alky controller with the idea of an AIS rear tank. I have read about a Julio that builds this setup, but don't know what company said person is from. Any ideas?

The AIS/prometh tank is sweet. I went with that over using the washer tank like the alky control kit because of leaks. Would be cheaper to piece together your kit over ordering prometh set up, their stuff is crazy expensive. I just pieced mine together when I went dual nozzle and got rid of the crap push lock hoses from the snow kit and it really wasn't bad. Only thing that wasn't new was my controller but even at that the aem controller is simple and not very expensive. If you want the lengths of lines I used and how I have mine set up shoot me a pm, I think I still have the receipts with lengths of lines.

I use the alky control kit with the AIS cubbyhole tank. Has worked great ever since I've been using it.

Me too, but I also didn't want to take the chance of it leaking out the tank and getting blown or dripping onto my exhaust and starting a fire. The people I've talked to running 100% meth all had issues with leaks using the washer tank so I said hell with it and got the ais tank.

the AIS is a proper fuel cell with braided stainless lines and in my opinion would be better than burning car to the ground as several on here with window washer reservoir and plastic lines have done

I would never use plastic lines, as the can easily get cut or burned through if touch something hot. The windshield washer tank doesn't move, and is not near heat, so I have no worries using that.

Never had a leak with washer tank. Even if it did, it is no where near the header/etc. I much rather have it in the fender than in the car with me. If properly installed there is no leaks/issues.

AIS/Prometh is great. We build out own custom kits using their tanks and lines/nozzles, Then use a diff controller and solenoid

Washer tank leaking is just going to make the ground wet for like 2 minutes before it evaporates at most.. nothing there for it to leak on that can catch on fire, unless you've got some other major issues going on

I believe the leaking that some guys are talking about is the gasket material within the pump head. When using 100% meth it eats away at the material over time and will also cause less pump pressure. Alkycontrol recommends that the pump be changed or serviced every two years to avoid that situation. I pretty sure that the guys that have a leaking issue, have pumps older than 2 years.

Which if that is the case, a trunk tank has zero effect on that. I think they are talking about the windshield washer res leaking.

Then I would agree with you Unreal. I never had or heard of the actual windshield washer tank leaking.

Honestly, I have been researching quite a bit and might have to piece together my own kit. I love the AIS tank and Alky pumps. But I am liking the idea of a Coolingmist autolearning gauge controller with their FSB failsafe option. Obviously I would have to figure out all the lengths of lines.

I like mine I never have to worry about running out of meth, did not have to remove my fender! PS I thought I had a picture of just the tank but this is the only one I can find.As you can see it does not take up much room.
