Default Building for more boost/power

I知 currently sitting around 750rwhp on a SBE ls3 with TFS255 heads and a cam. I know these LS engines are pretty stout, but looking to possibly upgrade to more safely handle pushing around 850-900. I知 looking at two options:

1 - Buy a short block and use my TFS255 heads
2 - Use my 62k mile block and add forged internals.

Just looking for a little insight as to which some of you folks have done or recommend. Just trying to save a little coin if possible without cutting all the corners. Car is currently getting a sex change operation and the budget is getting used up. Ha!

If you don't mind being down a while, build your own ****. If you need to get back up and running quickly, have a short block built and continue driving what you have until the SB is ready. You can sell your old SB to recoup some of the costs. Building what you have now is the least expensive...you just won't be driving your Vette for a while.

Might be out less money building a shortblock on the side and then selling your stock one.

Don稚 really have the space or tools to build my own. Would be looking more at paying a builder to rebuild my ls3 or just ordering a TSP, etc. short block. I知 sure I could learn, but with the kids being home 24/7 from this Covid mess I ain稚 never have time. Ha

Your best bet is to buy a short block and put your heads etc on it. Once you got everything transferred sell your stock LS3 and get some of your money back.
