The 1500SL is pretty quiet with helical cut gears but you can hear it. It is not as loud as a pro charger

Yeah, the bypass valve will bring more attention than the blower whine on those. Very little gear noise.. there is a little bit though
I always laugh when the cows run the other direction because of the street sweeper noise
