Default Alky leaning out #1 & #2

Anyone had issues with 93/meth leaning out the first two cylinders when getting into boost?

As in the meth is spraying but it's not able to make the turn for #1 & #2, thus leaning the cylinder out.

If you are running a reasonable ammount of meth setup properly, it is completely vaporized and no different than air trying to make that turn.

Even with dual m15s and a crap ton of meth, never had an issue.

With dual 15's on max we have seen a 300* difference from the front cylinders to the back on an 1100 rwhp car. We then did individual cylinder nozzles to correct that. Each cylinder was within 100* of each other after.

hey Doug, so when you run dual meth what size tips do you guys run then now at this point knowing what you know about the fuel distribution?

I remember reading somewhere that ECS (or maybe VR?) only run M10 tips max due to fuel distribution concerns, but don't remember where I saw that

I probably wrote that here somewhere, two tens is all we will do before going individual cylinder.

thanks. I believe Vengeance racing said the same thing but dont' quote me.

when I do the basic math on how much fuel the dual M15s were adding it makes sense there would be fuel distribution issues also as that is not far off of where nitrous guys also end up going direct port.

when i did dirty math on a 300* difference between cylinders too that worked out to roughly a full point of AFR so that is a ton.

i wish e85 was a viable option in my area

What about using twin M15 with sheet metal intakes with intake runners velocity stacks which known to better distribute flow

I'm with Kurt. The series cooling that GM decided to do with the LS isn't acceptable. I worked with H Squared racing engines to convert to parallel cooling to help with cooling issues that cause localized boiling within. That's an issue that becomes a bigger and bigger deal with increased power.

Thanks, I actually posted in the wrong thread. I hate the phone app.

Lines are going to a boost activated water pump, pulling water from the cold side of the radiator.

Sorry for the mis-post OP. Didn't mean to side rail your thread. Let me know if you want me to pull it down.
