Default Eforce guys: what pulley you run and what fuel setup?

I'm trying to run a 3.25" or 3" pulley. Not sure the size but it is one of those. E force on an 06Z with bap, alky. stock cam, forged pistons otherwise oem. Bought the D3 heat exchanger kit but have yet to install.
Anyone care to share their experience?

I put a 3" pulley on my 599 kit. Spoke with Edlebrock and they specially stated larger injectors than came with the kit. I purchased ID850's. No issues with the kit, downsized pulley and injectors.

ID 850's are a good choice. I ran those and it was enough fuel for a maxed out eforce.

Did you need to retune?
When my car goes back for more tuning next week Im going to mention injectors. It is that or back to original pulley.

Yes, I did a retune. Shortly going in for a cam and another tune. Hoping to break the 600 rwhp mark.

I have a local Sunoco which sells 100 octane so I do a mix with the 91 octane we are forced into here in AZ to average 94-95 octane. I think the eforce is pretty much tapped out at that point without getting into forged internals and/or better block, meth etc.

I'm sure I'll be happy with the additional HP for a week or two

Im sure you will be over the 600 mark. Man...100 octane must be nice. The fact that you blnd it must mean it is expensive! I fill up half tanks everyday, 2X per day a few times per week.
How do we know when we should go with larger injectors VS. beef up fuel system?

I mean, I can just follow what other guys do but Id like to understand it.
Im assuming without really knowing that I have enough fuel system if the pressure stays up at close to redline under a load.

Yes, it is expensive per gallon but I don't use that much so the math, for me, is less expensive than changing to e85. The blending cost me ~$4.50/gallon.

I spoke with Edlebrock and they recommend larger injectors when going with a smaller than the 3.5" pulley that comes with their 599 kit. I did a little reasearch and found the ID850s. ECS sells them and I spoke with someone there who confirmed Edlebrock's recommendation, so I purchased them.

The installer of my upcoming cam asked what injectors I had and he confirmed the ID850s are fine for his install and tuning but did say I would need larger if I wanted to go flex fuel.

Simple answer is if you're starting to lose fuel pressure up top then time for more fuel pump

If injector duty cycle is getting to 90+% then need larger injectors

Sometimes it's both

What does it take to change injectors on an eforce? I assume you need to take the coils off, can you then get access to the injectors or is it more involved?

Injectors go in/out with the rail. Rail can be removed after you get the injector harness out of the way. Not sure about the intercooler lines running over the top of the rails. Coil brackets might just need to be loosened so you can move the them down a bit.

I'm running the 3.5 with 9psi peak boost. My Deka 60's are hitting 65% IDC. Plenty of overhead to run e85. When estimating injectors keep in mind that the specified capacity is usually based on 42psi fuel line pressure. If you have enough FP capacity (this is more often the limiting issue) you should be seeing closer to 60psi. The rough rule of thump of 10lbs. per 100HP is too conservative if you have enough fuel pump.
