Default Which Pro EFI 112 or 128?

good morning everyone so Im looking to purchase a proefi system for my car today and getting mixed reviews by different shops. Im not fully understanding which one might be better and or why.... seems to me the 128 is plug n play to factory ecu and easier to install. The 112 is a full replacement ecu and everything needs to be rewired and takes longer to install? If this is correct why would anyone not just go with the 128? is there any differences with any sort of tuning capabilities or features the other one doesn't have?

thanks for any help and sorry for being a noob

128 is going to be plug and play with the base and Z06. 112 is for the ZR1. Beyond that I am not up to speed on the actual differences in the ECU's. I believe either can be used as a stand alone, but at that point you would have to re-work a ton of functions in the car and would need a new dash.

I have the 128 in my car with the factory GM ECU, BCM, and dash.

Even with plug-and-play you will still have to add a couple sensors for the ProEFI to work.. Fuel psi, dual widebands, IAT, and MAP at a minimum.

Pretty sure the 112 needs an inj driver. I talked about it when they were trying to get the word out on it, but then I was told about the Injector driver and well blew it off. 128 is plug and play mostly and works well on my car FWIW.

You need to talk to a shop that does these. I suggest calling prospeed or whatever D3 use to be.

Unless full out race car, you will want to keep the stock ecu to drive the dash and interface with the BCM/etc

I would recommend the 128 with the plug and play harness. If you are interested PM me, I have these in stock at a good price.

Yes sir i actually did and thats why i made a post because i was getting mixed answers on them and wanted some first hand experience. I guess the 112 isn't like it used to be and very very similar to the 128 now. But mixed answers is really throwing me off. Im mostly interested as i need it for the twin tb controls...... the nitrous, e85 and traction control features and the failsafes is always nice as well.

Thank you fellas for replying. Looking like the 128 it will be, Ive gotten told by two different guys at ProEFI to go 112 and the other said 128 lol. But majority says 128. Ive just got an NA and nitrous setup so it seems a bit overkill but ehh I'm here for opinions on them because i don't know.

The ProEFI 128 with the Corvette Harness would be the best route. ProEFI even sells a full package for your vehicle that includes a lot of the misc sensors you will need. I do recommend adding another 150psi sensor as we use the one in the full kit for Oil Pressure and the second one for Fuel Pressure.

Hope this helps!
